How does this mount to the hood?Same one for me! It helps and I think looks good......Win Win!
Double sided 3M tape. How does this mount to the hood?
Nice. I just installed this on my Granite Rubi as well. Not the best photo for you, but i have the Auto Ventshade 436148 Aeroskin II and it seems to help and is low enough profile to not be obnoxious, along with protecting the front part of the hood.

That's what I was thinking. I was just wondering if you decided to remove the deflector later, whether that tape might damage the paint on the hood.Double sided 3M tape.
That tape usually releases cleanly - I'd be more concerned long term with a paint fade line (I'll let you know in 5 years.) I ordered one last night. That's what I was thinking. I was just wondering if you decided to remove the deflector later, whether that tape might damage the paint on the hood.
I just did a nice drive through Georgia last night. One thing I noticed was under 60mph I hit relatively few bugs. 60+ and I couldn't miss them. It sounded like rain on my windshield and had to stop every 20 miles at one point to clean them off or I couldn't see well. I guess with the relatively vertical windshield the air/bugs can't get out of the way over 60+mph. I don't like deflectors but arrived here because I'm seriously considering it after last night's drive. That tape usually releases cleanly - I'd be more concerned long term with a paint fade line (I'll let you know in 5 years.) I haven't scrubbed bugs off a windshield this often since my Trooper. A bug deflector solved that one - Isuzu had a nice formed one that wasn't too obvious.
Sweet looking rigThank you!

What exact color did you purchase?Just got the Aeroskin II on tonight. 90 minutes driving after dark on the interstate and Carolina backroads and my windshield is bug free. Weird thing is at highway speed the front of my closed sky roof was fluttering much more than I've ever noticed before. I'll give it some time but it might become a road noise vs bugs toss up.
Cosmetically it matches my unpainted fenders well. Looks like it belongs there.
However the install is, I can attest that it would be leaps bounds easier than putting on my non-rubicon hood blackout...Those of you that have installed the Auto Ventshade 436148 Aeroskin II, what did you do to install it straight and centered so the edge spacing was even all the way around? I’m thinking about taping it down with masking tape perfectly in place after exposing enough of the red part of the mounting tape. Would that work or am I over-thinking the install? I just know I won’t be happy if it’s not straight.
Not my experience. At all.Rain-x on the windshield will let you wash the bugs off easily with wipers.
