He really dodged that bullet.and XR springs ... pushing up to $100,000
Seemingly obvious question, but does your buddy have a 3.6L v6?I suggest you seek therapy about all this conspiracy stuff. I have seen the one on my buddy’s Jeep.
As early as September 2022 (the farthest back I bothered to check) there were posts here saying that some XR models were shipped with the wrong springs. Dude, quit blaming everyone else for your lack of research and verification of known issues before you jumped in your Jeep and drove away from the dealer lot. YOU are the one who shelled over $70 grand and didn't bother to look to make sure shit was right and YOU are the one who, apparently, didn't even pop the damn hood to look in the engine bay. FFS, take all of this back to the dealer. The springs are a legit gripe and they will have to fix it. If it was something that hadn't already been discussed at length here I would have some sympathy, but your problems seem to either be self inflicted or down right petty.Look up the spring numbers I posted. The ones on it are not listed for the recon edition. Check the other springs I listed for 1 1/2 inches lift , it states recon model. God I am tired of you people always trying to prove me wrong. Maybe the other people with the long bump stops got screwed also, they just don’t know it yet.
Then I guess these guys were in the fucking future:Apparently you think you know everything. I did order the roof insulation. It is all there except 3 pieces above the cross over bar on the roll bar in back. Jeep got so many complaints, they now paint those 3 spaces black so you won’t notice. Your comment on the engine cover is bull shit because it was not deleted until November 11, 2022. When I complained about it, they gave me their bulletin. I know exactly what I ordered. On August 7, 2022 I went on Jeep’s website and built the Jeep I wanted to find out the cost. The Extreme Recon Package stated 35 inch tires with 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding suspension parts, upgraded Dana 44 front axle, tailgate stiffener and fender extensions. They also said you had to get the 3.6 e torque engine, 8 speed automatic transmission and 4:56 gearing. On August 8, 2023, I went to the dealer and ordered exactly that.

That is because you are enlightened. You know that happiness and sadness come from inside of you and it is not dependent on Jeep ownership or an engine cover.Knope! Ordered mine in Dec '21. Received March '22. No cover... and I am a happy Jeeper somehow without it.
The rubicon stock has a 1 1/2 inch lift compared to sports and the Sahara. The Recon is a rubicon. Were you thinking that you the 1 1/2 inch of lift was above a normal rubicon and if so why or where did you read that?I did my research. The extreme Recon package listed 35 inch tires with 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding front end parts, tailgate stiffener, upgraded front axle and fender extensions. Not what I got.
you are aware the there is a check valve on the axles, transmission and t-case breather lines and they can be submerged and not allow water in. I have had water to the top of the hood many times…. Like hundreds of times with no ill effects. The check valve allow air in and out while stopping water from passing. The false advertising is on the water fording capabilities. Come on, get with program.
I never really thought about how cool the engine cover was. I think I will be taking the hood off too when I remove the top and doors. To show off the engine.I got an extra $1500 off mine.
Sales guy asked if I was Military/Law Enforcement/First Responder. I said no.
Later during casual conversation, he asked what I do for a living. Told him I do I.T. work for the D.E.A.
He said that counts as Law Enforcement.
I mean, it kind of is... Department of Justice and all.
I told him I was just a contractor.
He took $1500 off.
My engine cover looks awesome, and the springs for the diesel make mine a little bit taller that a regular Rubi!
changed my he transfer case fluid the other day. I made six passes through this part of the trail in one day. No water in the transfer case. I must have a special jeepYou obviously haven’t read the whole thread. The vent for the transfer case is on the top of the transfer case is at 27 inches. It doesn’t have a hose running from the top of the transfer case to the back of the intake. Jeep claims they have the highest water fording height at 33.6 inches. At 27 inches the water will go in the transfer case.

I ordered a '23 XR and I sent a list of shit to the dealer to check in PDI and I took my list with me to make sure they checked it before I signed the paperwork and drove off.
