MINI is the same way.
The experience I have at my local MINI service dept. is stellar. With my local Jeep service dept. everything is a hassle and rarely worth it.
As someone who got stranded at a traffic light on 2 different occasions, I was told that Jeep's software at the time did not take into account if the main battery had enough amps to restart the engine or not.
This was eventually addressed in a software update that my local dealer wanted to...
Ahh so you are using a dongle
I thought you were saying you had wireless CarPlay natively. I see it's available in Uconnect 5 but I believe My 2018 was Uconnect 3 and my 2021 is Uconnect 4C. Hence the confusion
Not all parts are desirable, especially Sport parts.
I had a set of 5 Sport wheels that I was unable to sell anywhere including here for $100 with the lug nuts. I thought for sure someone looking to trade their JL in would have grabbed them so they could keep their more desirable aftermarket...
DV rules vary from state to state. For example, my state (GA) age doesn't matter, it's based off of mileage.
Here a vehicle is eligible as long as it is less than 100k miles and has never had DV Paid on it previously. I literally just paid out DV on a 2016 Ford Fusion earlier this week.
It's @Quake LED 's IIRC They did it the first time to fit it in a trailer tp go to an event and it triggered so many people they kept doing it. Personally I think the outrage thrown at it is hilarious and I hope they find more exciting ways to troll Jeepers.
For collision and comprehensive my company will not pay 100% of ACV for a claim on a vehicle with a branded title. Most carriers have the same stance as we do.
They will, but the premium will be higher and they will not pay 100% of the actual cash value if it is wrecked again.
If you don't have some super strong sentimental attachment to a vehicle it's almost never worth the hassle to owner retain a salvage vehicle.
Mine wasn't a 4xe and the ESS stranded me in a busy intersection twice. My issue was resolved in later model years but still wasn't a fix for it when I sold my JL. I don't hate Wranglers and will most likely have another one in the garage at some point, but Jeep's quality control is very hit or...
I'm not going to call you dumb, but I definitely think you need to take an honest look at the big picture of your situation.
Do you rely on this as your primary mode of transportation?
Do you have deep enough pockets to address all the immediate issues as well as potential future issues that...
And an unnecessary one at that. Insurance will total it once he files a claim. It will be sent to auction and the buyer will know it's a flood damaged vehicle. Way easier than jumping through hoops to get it running and try to off load it on an unsuspecting buyer.
I'm interested in seeing if OP...
Nah. I'm an auto adjuster and I would be irritated by an obvious made up story. I would rather he be honest and say he made a mistake and misjudged the depth of the creek since it wasn't intentional. We cover stupid, we don't cover lies,
This is a total loss though
I regret upgrading the speakers in the roll bar. The upgrade of the front speakers and adding an amp and sub rendered them moot. I would have rather saved that few hundred dollars spent there and put it into the front.
Not a regret but if I could have a redo I would have gone with a different...
Good luck with that. I had the same issue with one fender (the other three looked perfect), Jeep denied the warranty saying I used chemicals on it.
When I pointed out that wouldn't all 4 be affected had I used a chemical on them, the service writer didn't know what to say other than to repeat...
