Nice find!Mountain Off Road Enterprises has one in steel and aluminum. Unfortunately they only have it designed for the original aluminum oil pan. Maybe if enough people call them they will make a design update for the new oil pan. $554.85 beats the hell out of $1600.00 or so for unwanted parts. https://mountainoffroad.com/collect...transmission-skid-plate-392-6-1l-2021-current

Looks good, sure wish they made one for the updated oil pan. I will have to keep an eye on their website. Thanks for posting the review. @mountainoffroadenterprisesThe engine cradle bolts were easy until my 14 mil ratchet wrence broke, then it was just slow going. The design is good and i think since it is one piece tying the frame rails together it will reduce frame twist, i was a little worried with any skid plate that the rotation of the engine on the engine mounts might contact the side of pan into the skid under load. I think the design will help against that. I can get about a finger and a half clearance all around the pan.

From what I am reading, the aluminum is lighter and more expensive. The steel is heavier, costs less but is stronger and will slide on rocks better. For me I will go with steel for my trips out west. What do you guys think - aluminum or steel for this part?
Did the later 392’s get a revised oil pan?Looks good, sure wish they made one for the updated oil pan. I will have to keep an eye on their website. Thanks for posting the review. @mountainoffroadenterprises
Yes the went to a stamped steel sometime in Q4 21'. It has a better profile for sure. Makes me wonder why they started with a more expensive cast alu pan.....better heat dissapation...in stock or fluid dynamics...not sure why the change?Did the later 392’s get a revised oil pan?
Thanks for the the info. I had no idea they made the switch.Yes the went to a stamped steel sometime in Q4 21'. It has a better profile for sure. Makes me wonder why they started with a more expensive cast alu pan.....better heat dissapation...in stock or fluid dynamics...not sure why the change?
