hopefully its an isolated incident, its going to jeep next week so they can look into it further. In the mean time I have ramps at home, will try to replicate the issue with seatbelts on/off etc.

In the meantime maybe try to locate the fuel pump diagram? Any ideas where they may be

When you fill up at a station, when you're at 1/2 tank on the Jeep gauge, what does the gas pump register? Just wondering if the sensor in the gas tank is correct...
The tank has been registering fine as I fill up. I keep track of miles per tank and it seems to be measuring the fuel just fine. Apart from a bit of range anxiety on long trips its been working as it shoul

can you replicates the problem?
you should video it and put it on YouTube/Facebook/instagram/onlyfans/pornhubs/tiktok with a title like "wrangler 392 engine problem" and get it public, or nobody will help you. Jeep dealer sucks.

my friend's 3.6 auto will just die in 4 low for no reason and no fix either, way passed warranty and dealer just say cannot confirm customer's concern.
Similar situation to this have already been posted on pornhub & onlyfans… its usually more then just sliding down… there is some rear ending too 🤣🤣🤣

While I have not had the engine die, coming down about a two mile stretch above Breckenridge, CO, I started the hill at 50% fuel level, dropped to 1/4 within a few minutes and then zero before reaching the bottom. Scared the hell out of me and thought I may have punctured the tank somewhere on the trail. Once back on level ground and about 15 minutes later, the tank returned to 50%. And although I usually run with 2 3.5g fuel tanks, I knew the trail well, travelled a number of times and decided to leave the tanks knowing the trail would not require more than a 1/2 tank.

Here is a thread on my experience and contact with Jeep 392 Product Manager...

Fortunately, the engine did not die like OP experienced. Sounds like the OP was going uphill though while in my tale, I was coming down a steep grade.

Lesson is that us 392 owners may want to keep more than 1/2 tank full on grades and may necessitate carrying aux fuel.
