When I clicked the link I got a pop up on the website that said ā€œthank you for signing upā€ ☹
Disregard that notice, that was taken after I had signed up

Wow! That is pretty spendy.

I would be nervous about swapping over the electronics and still having everything work properly.

I am out of my warranty on my ā€˜19 Sahara. If the radio had a catastrophic failure I would consider something like that instead of replacing my stereo with the same one that came stock.

I would be interested if anyone tried something like this too. Wondering how difficult the swap over is .

Price aside, there's a reason you don't see a lot of these installed. Same with the cheaper ones that only take over the center stack. The hardware is lackluster and software is usually really buggy. More importantly, most of these don't get updates or support as they run on old versions of Android.

It's a shame someone outside of China can't make one that doesn't look like the UI was designed by an 8-year-old.

Yes - we will see a lot of these types of products showing up for popular modding vehicles now...the hardware is commodity and with 3D printing becoming affordable, manufacturing the bezels and mounts is also cheap. What's not cheap is a good development team so they always run hacked together Android OSes (also dirt cheap)...and as we all know the software is far more important than the hardware in a product like this.

You would think someone would get the hint and start doing things like this WITH a good development and support network because there is big money ready to be spent for these kinds of products...but thus far no one has. You could easily get people to shell out $3k for a product like this with the Pioneer or Alpine name on it.

I put a huge Tesla like screen (android) in my pickup. I hate it. The integration is poor, and it's one of the best out there according to reviews. Looking at a large screen is over rated, IMO. What is most important is that you are able to control all the things you need, with minimal distraction from the task of driving. I'll be removing my $2k large screen and going back to the OE HVAC controls and either the OE entertainment system or a smaller screen that allows OE HVAC.

I've seen these in Mexico, they are quite expensive and it removes (or block) a vent, I saw the video below and the UI looks kind of cool and responsive, I still would be very nervous about swapping over all the electronics in my Jeep, the actual title of the video is "another Jeep that comes to lose its warranty":

I really don’t have issues with Jeep’s std offering and I can’t see dropping that much coin on a questionably glitchy upgrade. With that said, my first ā€œinfotainmentā€œ screen was this, so maybe that explains why the OE unit is fine with me ?

I'm with others - I personally dislike having to use touchscreen to change various settings. Totally fine with it for music, nav, etc, but for everything else? Nah.

My wife's Lexus has an actual touchpad - like the one on your laptop - for nav and that just might be worse.

Give me physical buttons/switches every day of the week.

So the posts were pretty much as I expected and the same way I feel, but I had only seen this type of dash in high end cars etc. It does remove your duct work for the ac/heat and it also states that it most likely will affect how much movement you would have in your steering column
my question is, who buys these? Show Jeeps only?
There is another one out there that’s over $4k!! But these companies can’t be making just one or two of them??
Personally I like knobs, buttons etc. I even use the dials on my Rubicon to change radio stations and adjust the volume. I remember my neighbor looking to buy a home computer and the salesman told him if you buy a all in one computer that’s how it goes in the garbage can, don’t know about that but it was pretty funny hearing it
