Direct question: What exact words (and placement on the sticker) should I be looking for to identify Selec-Trac from the JLU window sticker?

Background: I am researching used JLUs and want to find one with Selec-Trac (full time AWD). I know how to look up the window sticker, but either I don't know what I am looking for on the sticker, or I have found NONE in the dozens that I've looked up. I have found " 2.72:1 Command–Trac part–time 4WD system" which I believe is mutually exclusive of Selec-Trac (unless Selec-Trac is something that would show in optional equipment (which I also did not find :) ).

I really hope this is not a stupid question as I have spent far more time than I should have already on it... I figured it would be pretty straight forward.

Occasionally you won't be able to find it... For example my 2024 Rubicon X doesnt' list it because it's part of the X package which shows up as "Quick Order Package 24Y Rubicon X". The Transfer Case isn't listed anywhere.

Of course that could also just be Jeep screwing with us Canadians !

Mine says:

2.72:1 Selec–Trac® Full–Time 4WD System $895 - Right side column of the sticker.

WARNING - this info is for Gladiator Mojave X packages - may or may not translate directly to Wrangler!

FOR GLADIATOR
It's only in the Rubicon or Mojave X packages and yes, part of that package. They are messing with us yanks, too.
But - here's a window sticker from a Mojave X and it's actually listed -

Jeep Wrangler JL Identifying Selec-Trac From Window Sticker 1709165500040

The left side shows the X package and then below that lists the parts of that package - and continues over to the right column...

First let me say I have no idea what I’m talking about. Here’s what ChatGPT says about them:

The Wrangler's Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD and Rock-Trac Full-Time 4WD systems represent two distinct approaches to 4-wheel drive, tailored to different driving needs and off-road capabilities. Here's a brief overview:

1. **Selec-Trac Full-Time 4WD**: This system is designed for versatility and ease of use in a variety of driving conditions. It allows the vehicle to operate in full-time 4WD mode, which means it can automatically distribute power to the front and rear wheels as needed for optimal traction. This system is ideal for varying road conditions, including wet or icy roads, as it can be left in full-time 4WD mode without the need for the driver to manually switch between 2WD and 4WD. This makes it very user-friendly and adaptable for both daily driving and moderate off-road conditions.

2. **Rock-Trac Full-Time 4WD**: The Rock-Trac system is geared more towards serious off-road enthusiasts. It offers a more robust 4WD capability with a lower gear ratio (4:1 low gear ratio), providing more torque and control when tackling difficult terrain such as rocks, steep inclines, and obstacles. This system is designed to offer superior off-road performance and is typically found on the more off-road-oriented models like the Wrangler Rubicon. The Rock-Trac system emphasizes maximum traction and control for challenging off-road conditions.

In essence, the choice between Selec-Trac and Rock-Trac depends on your driving needs:

- **Selec-Trac** is great for those who want a versatile, all-around 4WD system that can handle daily driving and moderate off-road situations without the need for manual engagement.
- **Rock-Trac** is suited for the more dedicated off-road enthusiast who needs the extra control and power in extreme off-road conditions.

Both systems underscore Jeep's commitment to offering a range of 4WD technologies to suit different types of drivers and terrains.

Here is what the window stickers looks like between our 2022 Rubicon XR w/rock-track port time (first picture) and 2024 Rubicon X w/rock-track full time (second picture). I know, clear as mud. I still don’t understand all the options. On both I only shift into 4wd when conditions call for it even though the 2024 say full time.

Thank you all for your help! Based on the above info, I was able to find one out of the 15 I looked at. It was not exactly the vehicle I was looking for, but I know they are out there now!

It was indeed on a sticker with "Command–Trac Part Time 4WD System " listed on standard equipment (left column) and "Selec–Trac Full Time 4WD System" listed under optional equipment on the right column.

Took me a few months to find one. Best way I found was to look at the T Case selector or indicator window (5 positions instead of 4). Happy hunting!
