Hey all, ordered a Willys last week. I did not option it with the Selec Trac System. It’s too late to order on my vehicle, but they can order me a new one. Did I do the right thing by not ordering it, or should I get it? Thank you .

I just got it in my Willy's.
I think for on road snow driving it will be well worth it.

I had an 88 Cherokee and a 2002 Grand Cherokee with it
You can shift it into 4wd in fowl weather on road for more traction
If it were an option in 2020 I would have done it

I have a Sahara with Selec-Trac: it is well worth it if you drive in an area that sees snow.

It is one of those features that gets you spoiled: you don't think you need it; when you have it, you wonder how you lived this long without it... ;)

If there's fowl on the roads you may have some serious traction issues :)

Invaluable in snow/ice and mixed conditions. I even use it in the rain after breaking a tire loose a couple times.

I ordered it on my 2021 Willys last month. That was an option I liked with the 2021’s. In my area of Pa, we get a lot of mixed snow and blacktop So it will be an option to use instead of plain 4 hi.

Good to have in snowy areas particularly if you have new drivers in the house (teens) or a wife that is not properly trained on how to use the gas pedal.

I called dealer and asked to order it. No guarantees, but he will see what he can do

I wouldn’t worry about it. I have it in my GC and I’ve never used it, and I’m from Canada so I drive in snow 6-7 months out of the year

You definitely don’t NEED it. I ordered it for my JLUR just in case my wife has it on a crappy day. Shifting back and forth can get annoying...plus tight turns when you forget to shift back SUCKS!
