Thanks for the link, it gave me a lot of good info but nothing on whch rear diff i had

Is that a front or rear axle? What’s your vin? The window sticker link definitely should’ve shown something.

Alternatively, use this link with your vin. It should explicitly say which axle you have.

It is new, it had only 29 miles on it when i picked it up and that was fom the drive from the train station (It was shipped by train) but we never got the window sticker.

What axles do Jeep JL Sahara have? Dana 35.

That’s a D35. Aka M200.

This is a D44 (aka M220)- note the rectangle that the fill plug exists on is larger:

Edit: I should clarify that what we commonly refer to as D35 or M200 and D44 or M220 aren’t technically the same axles. The M___ axles were released with the JL.

Definitely not the same--the 2xx number is the diameter of the ring gear in millimeters.
