Putting some Motobilt's on and just want to make sure I have the right product here. Sport axles, not limited slip in the rear.

Per my 2019 Owners Manual, It looks like you need 75w-140...

No idea why the Limited Slip still calls for 75w-85 though.

Interseting, don't quite know how to clip like that but I copy and pasted here from my manual

Axle Differential (Front) We recommend you use Mopar Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 75W85)(API GL-5) Axle Differential (Rear) We recommend you use Mopar Gear & Axle Lubricant (SAE 75W85)(API GL-5). Models equipped with Trac-Lok Limited Slip Differential require a friction modifier additive

The limited slip is on the M220, not M200 axle.

That's odd; I wonder why they made the change to 75w140 in the M200 Axle for 2019, and left the M220 at 75w85.

Thanks. It looks like Jeep needs to update both the 2018 and 2019 owners manual with more detail.

Yep, especially since it lists the D35 as a D44 there. An erroneous bit of info like that makes you question the accuracy of the entire thing.

Still unsure about this.

Most stores carry 80-90 gl5 spec like valvoline, non synthetic for a good price
Would this be appropriate to use in the diffs with the friction modifier from mopar?

I like to change the gear oil twice a year to avoid contamination from water/mud etc.

So no additives are required for the Rear differential on the Rubicon? Only the Sahara or Sport/s that are setup for the LSD? I ask because I just got a kit from Northridge that came with 75w-140 and I planned on using it on the front diff as well? when I add my new Diff plates, could I get away with this? :fingerscrossed:

I posted this in another thread....This thread may be able to answer it better...

Can someone please explain the differences with the Rubicon Axles ? If I order a 2020 JLUR with the 4.10 gears (D44 Front and Rear).... and the Trailering Package, which axles am I getting ? If there are any other options that would affect any variables, please ask.....

Do I get the ......

210 FBI ?
200 RBI
220 RBI EDL
220 RBI T/L ?

Sorry if this is pretty straight forward, but I figured I'd ask......

Thanks !

Chris

My 2018 Wrangler JLUR has tru-lok. The front and rear axles are the Dana 44 M210 front, Dana 44 M220. The 2018 manual makes no mention of using SAE 75W-140 relative to towing. Would it be wise to use the SAE 75W-140 in my rear differential as I will likely tow a small trailer with firewood? Or should I stick to the manual and use SAE 75-85?
