6 pages in and nobody asked. 2 5/16" ball? Unless there is trend for trailer manufacturers to use bigger balls/hitches, add load distribution, how big is this travel trailer? You may be exceeding the gross combined GVW. Jeeps are poor trailer hosts anyway, the suspension flexes too much. You'll find it squirrelly as hell and any puff of wind may scare to Hell out of the driver. There's lawyer drool on this. A little one or a flatbed around town, no big deal.
its a 23’ travel trailer. About 5-6k dry. Its not being pulled by wrangler. I just asked here since many people here do own trailers.

I thought of this thread today when I came across this while cleaning the garage.
I have an 8 foot bush hog that can cut 4 inch hardwood trees. The 4 ft disk that holds the blades got bent and I had to remove it. It has a 2 1/8 in nut and nothing could budge it, so I made this wrench out of 1/4 plate. with one side of the disk chained to the hog frame I used a 5 ton come-along to pull the wrench handle. When the nut broke loose it sounded like a gunshot and I thought I snapped the shaft off. This version was the second attempt, the socket held up but the first handle bent, it took a 2 X 3/8 handle to get the job done. If the right tool isn’t available, make one.

As mentioned earlier, there is usually a wrench in the trailer ball section at least at my local tractor supply.
