I don’t turn the compressor on until it is hooked up to the tires. The blow off is inline between the output and the air coupler at the end of the hose mounted to a tee. The arb comes with an integrated blow off as well but using it over time can cause leaks if it gets corroded/ sticks. ( per arb rep).

I too am Interested in a Under Hood Option. I get there's a lot of info for the TWIN but no way in hell I'm spending double the price for 45second faster time.

I thought either the single or the twin worked with the under-booster mount that the one member here devised....in the drivers inner fender against the firewall?

I could be wrong, I didn't follow it THAT closely

There is a relatively inexpensive mount available from a site that shall not be named buthasayoutubepageandeveryoneknowstheirnamebecausetheyarehugejeepers, that allows you mount it in the engine bay behind the drivers fender. The mount cost only $48.

I have said mount. Had plenty of room with the 2.0 and no heat issue .

Here’s what I worked up for mine. Works great with the soft top. I haven’t checked fit with the hard top yet. I may begin to sell them soon if people are interested.

Full disclosure - I haven't yet had a chance to buy and try this wiring idea, I'll throw my 2 cents in in case it's helpful.

My preferred option is to wire the power source directly to the battery. With the length of wire needed to run to under the seat, I'd prefer to run a thicker gauge wire to handle the current. So all that said - my plan is to wire Aux 3 or 4 in series to the pressure switch, which then runs to the coil side of the relay. The battery wire runs to the contact side of the relay, which then runs to your compressor. (sorry for the quality of the sketch, haven't gotten around to adding it to my electrical drawing yet)

If you really wanted to avoid running the battery wire, I suppose you could try running a wire from Aux 1 or 2 to the pressure switch, and then on to the compressor. I would have my doubts that the pressure switch is rated for that kind of amperage draw, so you may burn the switch/ cause other problems.
I'm no electrician, but why use the pressure switch at all? It seems you could just apply this diagram directly but with one hot lead to pin 30, and another hot lead (already there if you have aux switches) to the aux switch., Make sure that the hot wire connected to the 30 pin comes right from the battery (with an inline fuse) and the appropriate gauge to handle the current, then you can use the low amp aux switch, since it only has to have the draw to activate the relay.

Updated to increase current capability of K3 to 45A. Attached is a schematic I came up with for using three Dash Aux switches in place of the provided wiring harness to power the compressor and activate the relays. This is what I will be doing when I install and wire in the compressor. D1 through D6, K1 through K5 I estimate to fit on a 4 x 4 inch circuit board. Parts all available via Newark, Allied, Mouser, Digi-key. It's got an nice lock out feature to prevent Compressor activation if either locker switch is set to on.

There’s only one high current path and that is though K3 to the compressor. K3 is the only relay ( contactor ) that requires careful selection. With a little research and knowing the maximum current of the compressor a suitable K3 could be selected. Ie Newark #76K0426 12V 45A SPST automotive relay.

I was not concerned as much with how quickly I could refill my tires so I just purchased the single ARB compressor (CKMA12) rather than the dual compressor version. While I've seen a mounting bracket available for the dual version, I have not seen anything out there for the single.

Has anyone had any success in mounting the smaller version and if so, where and how did you mount it?
I just posted a thread on this. I put mine under the passenger seat and fabricated my own bracket to attach it without drilling any holes in the Jeep. I was also able to use the existing factory wire routes so the install is crisp and clean. I have attached some photos. All I need to do now is powder coat the bracket for a true factory looking install

Look at my post and see if this helps
