To me, most of that sounds like sounds like a hydraulic issue. Something like air in the system or perhaps a failing component causing the clutch to drag or not disengage correctly. I’d get it to a dealership if you can and have them look into it. The fact that it shifts ok in motion makes me...
Yeah I'll give that a go. I run about 32 psi cold now. Good chalk pattern at that pressure but I know that isn't always a sure thing.
I've always wondered if the fact that these are load range E on a two door just means that I don't have enough weight to cancel out inconsistencies in the...
It doesn't look like it has the number on my last set of paperwork. The numbers were never great. I know at one point one of the tires was near 20 lbs. I think they all fall within whatever range is deemed acceptable for that tire size and type but barely do so.
I've had these on 2...
I have considered running these. I've heard reports of varying success with them from friends. I'd definitely give them a go as a last resort. Do you air up and down often?
I've heard/read this rumor while doing some research over the past year. Seems like it's got some validity for sure. Real bummer because otherwise these tires perform great. Never had any issues with my previous Ko's or Ko2's.
Alright, I have a set of 35"x12.5" BFG KM3 tires mounted on Method 701's. I'm probably around 10k miles on these tires. Tread has worn great so far. No cupping or feathering at all. However, I cannot keep these tires balanced.
I've probably had these balanced 4-5 times already. Sometimes...
Sales codes from mopar can be found here at this thread.
If the tazer was unmarried while it was at the dealership that definitely could be the issue.
Im not positive what sensors are or aren’t present in the trans or t case. But there’s definitely some math it’s able to do during that 6th...
It’s good to see that they opened a STAR case but it’s one of those situations where the case still relies on the information/data that the dealership tech can relay. The misfire code seems odd to me. Probably 50/50 on whether it’s related to the O2 system not being ready.
As far as next steps...
Thats really unfortunate. Were they willing to articulate what resources they employed to figure this out beyond part swapping? Did they open a star case or seek tech support from Stellantis? Were you paying for this diagnostic work or was it covered under warranty?
Not sure how or if emissions test requirements change from California to Pennsylvania, but it’s my understanding that the check works the same when it utilizes on board sensors.
Here in Allegheny county we have to have emissions checked annually. Never had an issue with my last jeep. Manual...
These look like they may be stamped as 10.9 but it’s basically illegible. Metallurgy feels different from OE at a glance. But I’ll be sticking to 20 lb/ft after I fight this out of the housing.
Had the covers off of my first JL often and never had this issue.
First photo is stamping from...
Well. Looks like I just snapped one of the fasteners on mine. Anyone get a straight answer for what torque spec is supposed to be for these? It yielded well under 30 ft/lbs. Going to call Dana in the morning but was curious what everyone else went with. Kind of a bummer that they supply no...
@Countryswiss That’s a huge bummer. As said above it was probably about to go anyway and wasn’t anything you did wrong. Could have not been seated on the fork all the way if the pedal had a lot of resistance. Sometimes I used a borescope to make sure it was seated in the ball socket on the...
I 100 percent agree with you there.
Unfortunately, The hydraulic components on these are not of brake system quality or robustness. Theres a simple barb fitting right at the reservoir that’s known to leak and the quick connect fittings at the cylinders don’t inspire a ton of confidence either...
There’s a bleed valve on the back of the slave cylinder. Super easy to use as you can open/close it by hand. I’d recommend getting an inexpensive vacuum bleeder from harbor freight or Amazon for this job.
First step is to remove the slave cylinder from the bell housing so you can tilt it...
I’d start with a bleed. It’s not a difficult process but it needs to be thorough. Most shops/dealerships will want to rush through it and it won’t make any difference. If you do take it to a shop I’d probably take it to a dealership and reiterate that it needs to be done thoroughly.
I did...
My 2019 would do this periodically. The clutch system probably needs to be bled. Bleeding the system thoroughly would usually solve it. Does the pedal travel feel rough or gritty?
