I had a coolant leak in my Dodge Ram. It turned out to be the heater core. Windows fogged up slightly usually in the mornings and underneath the carpet was soaked. Does the 2.0 have a oil cooler? Like the 3.6
Heater and Evap core leaks are very common on the Ram trucks. The 2.0 oil cooler is nothing like the 3.6.

Is the turbo water cooled on the 2.0?

Sounds like a warranty issue to me. I completely understand the anxiety from buying a car and then experiencing problems but I think this could be handled by a dealership under warranty and then it’s smooth sailing from there. Whatever the problem is you were smart enough to catch it before the warranty ran out so it sounds golden to me. I wouldn’t worry at all. I think you’ll be fine in the end. Shit happens with cars it’ll all work out.

If it makes you feel any better, I was in a similar boat about a year ago and I’m so glad I stuck with it and got it fixed. The vehicle I purchased is perfect now. It’s not a Jeep, but I completely understand how you’re feeling and I think you’ll be fine with that warranty.

On something like this, possibly a big issue, I would go straight to the dealership. Stop screwing around, with small time mechanics. Just pay for a diagnosis, if it is warranty covered, then you will owe nothing, and possibly get a loaner car.

Is the turbo water cooled on the 2.0?
The 2.0T has a liquid intercooler. The exhaust manifold is also liquid-cooled. The latter contributes to the vehicle's HVAC putting out warm air very quickly on cold mornings.

The turbo is directly cooled by coolant.

I would fill it up and burp the system(?). Leave the rad cap off and run it up to temp, then refill.

I have a 4xe that was losing coolant. No leaks on the ground just a smell of coolant in the engine bay after running the engine for awhile. I eventually found some coolant coming out of the bottom of the black coolant bottle by the turbo. It’s happening because the coolant is getting hot and burning out of the pressure valve. When I first took it into the dealer they said there were no leaks and it held pressure. After some time it got worse and the next time it went in it needed a new engine.

So Saturday has come and passed. Was there an outcome to this? Hopefully this isn't an OP gets it fixed and is never seen again.

How bad did it get? Did the engine start overheating at some point? Did you ever feel the a/c stop cooling properly?
