Heated seats on AutoStart?

Okay, now that winter is here it's time for heated seats and heated steering wheel, when I had my 2016 GC Overland I could go into the app and program these to both go on in AutoStart, zoom ahead 5 years in technology and now you CAN'T?
Really? Unless I'm looking in the wrong place?

Yes, mine too. There may be an option setting to turn this feature on / off.

After pressing the Seats & Comfort button on the touchscreen, the following settings will be available:

Setting Name
Auto-On Driver Heat Seat & Steering Wheel — If Equipped

Selectable Options:
Off / Remote Start / All Starts

My salesman was great and did sit in the Jeep with me 'walking' me through the controls and menus. Can't say I retained it all, being excited to just drive it off the lot.

Seat heat setting of #3 is no joke on the cloth. Definitely don’t use that if you are trying to ever reproduce/conceive, your lil swimmers are cooked dead. Seriously!!! Fertility clinics all over the country are seeing heated seats as a culprit for not being able to have children.

And on the steering wheel side of things it would be nice to have it a few degrees warmer.

I have the leather and you can use level 3 but not too long!

Yup, that is how it works and it's annoying.
When temps are below 20, my garage loves to be 42 degrees. I have to turn them on every time.

Why can't there be a setting where they just stay at the last setting you set them to?

Mine knows no setting but 3. Very comfortable to me.

Here is something odd I discovered this past week, I have mine set for “Remote Start” for the options, it works fine if I’m doing a remote start from 40 yards like at work, but if I remote start close, like from the house to the garage, it will not work, wtf, It’s a remote start, if your next to it or 40 yards from it, it shouldn’t matter!

If your garaged is attached to your house, there's a very good possibility it's insulated well enough to keep the outside air temp above the threshold to activate the heated seats/steering wheel. On my '16 Charger, the heated seats would automatically turn on below 35...I believe someone else mentioned above the outside temp has to be below 40 for them to activate on the JL.

There is a CAN-BUS thread around here somewhere of some Jeepers trying to figure out how to customize this setting.
