Yes, Velcro. The TredCred patches already gave Velcro on them and the others I just get stick on Velcro from Walmart. The Velcro sticks well on the Hothead headliner

I went with Hothead Headliners on my 24 JL. While I can’t say it helped with temp (it’s just plain hot in Texas and nothing helps that) I can say road noise is slightly decreased (although I didn’t measure before and after). I can also say the radio does sound better and it makes a cool spot to mount Velcro trail patches! It’s a quality product with easy to follow instructions and video. They stress prep so I stressed prep and they held up through the summer and show no signs of coming loose.

This looks great! How did you attach the patches? Velcro?
Thanks! Do removing the velcro patches damage the Hothead Headliner fabric? Does removal make the fabric "fuzzy".Yes, Velcro. The TredCred patches already gave Velcro on them and the others I just get stick on Velcro from Walmart. The Velcro sticks well on the Hothead headliner
You would have to apply and remove patches many times to get the fabric "fuzzy." Even then, you could easily take a fabric shaver to it and it would look as good as new. I hope that helps! If it's one of our headliners, please email us at [email protected] and we'll get you taken care of!Has anyone had some of the 2way/velco on the backside let loose? I have a couple corners starting to droop...any suggestions on adhesive to secure it back up?

I have rearranged mine many times and never had a problem with the fabric. It has never become fuzzy. Thanks! Do removing the velcro patches damage the Hothead Headliner fabric? Does removal make the fabric "fuzzy".
Tred Cred from tredcred.com . They have a large collection of patches and stickers. These are the patches and come with velcro backing but also include a "sticky" in case you want to mount them on a solid surface. What brand are those hexagon patches?
Installed the Bedrug kit..Anyone have sound deadening on the inside of their hard top Wrangler?
Just saw some kits advertised for the first time and looks interesting as I think a bit quiter is better.
Insulation factor in cold weather a plus.
Customer service at @Hothead Headliners is top shelf!I installed the Hotheads headliner yesterday. Took me about 3-4 hours. I called Hotheads about what solvent to use and about 1.5 hours later, Mark (the owner of Hotheads) called me personally. When I wasn't sure about the "Sound Assassin" strips, I called him back and he answered again. The install went well and despite my adding extra strips, I didn't interfere with the XM radio antenna. Mark told me how to check that out and all went well. The company is generous with the strips and I had some left over. I am very impressed with the quality of the product and highly recommend it. Price wasn't the issue. I could have ordered OEM, but after seeing reviews and installing the product myself, I am glad I went the way I did. I also checked many reviews on line regarding temperature reduction as well as sound reduction. Additionally, it was less expensive, although for me, it was more important to have functionality. I highly recommend the product and it's so important to have a bussiness that really does it's best. Not to mention, the product was made in the USA!
I have to agree. I installed Hothead headliners and sound deadening strips, and it maybe makes a tiny bit of difference in sound and temperature, it's pretty hard to tell, but I can confidently say it definitely doesn't make $500 worth of difference. At least to me. One of the only upgrades (that came very highly recommended by many people on forums) that I've purchased that made me feel like I just wasted money. It makes zero difference. I have had it and the only difference it made was my wallet being lighter... and that's it. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply engaging in confirmation bias.
I will change my mind if there is empirical testing that objectively shows a noticeable difference in noise reduction in a Jeep Wrangler... Until then, save your money.
I didn't use acetone. I used 91% distilled alcohol. Mark said to make sure and go over it 2 or 3 times to be certain it's clean, which I did. I also used a heat gun to warm up the tape and the hard top. I think its cleaner with alcohol and the fumes don't stay in the vehicle. Went in just fine. I installed the headliner with the top on the jeep. I'm glad I did so, because the soundbar prevents you from going to deep on to the hardtop with the Sound Assassin strips, which could interfere with the XM Radio antenna.Customer service at @Hothead Headliners is top shelf!
Did you install the Hothead headliner with the rear section of the hardtop removed? If so, any regrets?
I am trying to avoid dripping acetone on the interior and getting the post-sanding hardtop residue everywhere (and breathing the stuff in too). I've installed the Hotheads on the freedom panels but I have been waiting for my son to visit to help me remove the rear section of the hardtop.
I respect your findings. Nevertheless, based on the construction and look of the headliner, it is aesthetically pleasing. We all have different experiences, but I can tell a difference in cabin temperarture and listening to the radio for me is better quality. Does 3-6 decibels make a difference? Obviously, not for everyone and price is a real issue for us all. With the military discount/GovX program, this was $240 less than OEM for me.I have to agree. Nothing against Hothead headliners at all, they're a great company and the quality of the head liners is totally fine, just for me, after installing them it just didn't really feel like anything was that different. I think that's just a fact of life with headliners, not anything wrong with Hotheads specifically, just incidentally happens to be the kind I bought.
