With winter just around the corner, I’m looking to see what everyone else bought and if you would buy it again.
So it comes down to Boommat vs BedBug,
Boommat is starting at $310 or BedBug for $210, what are you getting for that extra $100? Or are you just paying for the name?

Have you considered the coverking top liner? It's a little bit more difficult to install, but it has great reviews.

Never heard of that before, thanks for adding it into the mix!

I have been really impressed with my Boom Mat Leather look, it has made a big difference in the sound deadening and how quick the Jeep cools down

Is it worth the extra 150 bucks or so? I can never find a closeup photo comparison of the leatherlook vs the cheaper version.

I think it is worth it if you have the leather seats, it gives it a more finished look

Can anyone validate that Hot head is worth the extra dough over Boomat? OEM came with my '18 and was wonderful. Alas it wasn't available on the day I ordered the 4xe.

I put the cover king top liner in mine. It helps a teeeeny bit on noise but I did it more for aesthetics. I’ll post a pic later when I get home.

it was a pain in the ass to install. You’ll need more of the double sided tacky stuff and I would ask them for more during your order even if it’s an added extra cost. You’ll thank me later ;)

I just ordered. Pain in the ass eh? Ugh. Not looking forward to that. I will order some extra double sided tape. Thanks for the heads up!

Don’t let my comment dissuade you. It’s totally worth it. Just take your time. I am very picky and because of it, took me longer to get it perfect. I added more tacky strips in areas where most won’t bother. When I was done, it looked factory with no wavy edges. With the hard top upside down, I put thin blankets and heavy weights overnight to ensure adhesion. So far most of it is still “up there”! Having said that, I would do it all over again. Forget about adding sound deadening materials such as dynamat since it will screw up the molded contours of the cover king from fitting in the tops ridges.
Just take your time. Freedom panels were the easiest to do.

I have hot head and I think it’s the best investment, but only when you do the full floor plus the headliners it’s a holly shit difference in sound.
