Headline today is that Jeep is offering buyout packages to 33,000 salaried and hourly workers with the intention of at least 3500 taking the package. Hopefully the self selection will stave off layoffs.

Ha! My local Ford dealer in Brighton, CO has 27(!) of them sitting on the lot with another 9 on the way. They took delivery of 25 so they could sell them as 'used' with a markup. Between the markup and spread between new & used interest rates not one has moved in weeks. Looks like a Crayola...
Nope. It's a tremendously solid design. I had a little bit of heartburn about the whole modular bumper thing prior to receiving it but aside from the aforementioned hardware choices I've been nothing but happy.
For the front I went with the factory steel bumper. It's good enough for the foreseeable future.
On the back, I splurged and went to with the AEV with the tire carrier. The thing is very stoutly built and the modular nature makes it an easy one person job. My only qualms are that some of the...
My .02 is that our 4xe Rubi is easily the best jeep I've ever owned. The extra weight makes her happier in crosswinds at highway speeds, the hybrid system is genuinely quick for the platform and thus far we are averaging roughly 27mpg during the winter.
There's a couple of quirks associated...
Same! I had a TRX for a hot minute and hated every minute of it so much that I ordered my current Jeep after owning the TRX for only a few weeks. Parallel parking that thing on city side streets is a special form of hades. I was super psyched when Earl-e delivered months ahead of what I'd...
Maybe I'm in the minority on this one but I'd much rather have it go my jeep go into FORM than incur premature wear due to poor lubricity. Earl-e popped into FORM yesterday while driving through some sleet and I was completely fine with it. RPMs stayed close to idle as she warmed the block and...
My experience during the cold snap prior to Christmas here in Colorado tracks pretty well to this. Earl-e was parked outside when the front first rolled in and it went from 45 to -5f in less than two hours. CEL came on and I got the regen warning driving her back to her nice warm garage...
We had a 4 footer here two years ago and I'd have to say that the smart move is to stay sheltered whether that is home, at work or whatever. That's what we did... besides there was no place to go. I really feel for those that got stuck on the road in Buffalo when that storm rolled in...
Question for y'all. Is the 4xe Rubi supposed to have the flip flop easter egg? I was installing my shorty antenna last night and noticed this on the wiper cover. My '18 JLUR did not have it so I was assuming it was a beach edition thing.
Sometimes the tracker makes no sense.
ordered 10/22
Built 11/3
Shipped 11/14 then backdated to 11/4
it’s still showing in transit but it’s here! Dealer has to check it in and what not so I get to pick it up Friday! Woot!
Interesting little update on our order. It was built on 11/1 and we had been waiting for it to be shipped. Then on the 14th the bit flipped to shipped so that was cool. But then over the weekend, it updated again and now shows that it shipped on the 3rd! Don't know what's causing such things...
