So using a UV light here, I found some green (which I can only imagine is coolant) from one of the hose fittings. I also found dried white stuff on the bottom of the front crossmember behind the radiator fan, and some dried white on the cat.

What do we think here? seems like tiny leaks from many places

Hey does anyone know what causes the head gasket failures? Is it the faulty oil cooler? Radiator split? Under torqued head bolts? I’m trying to see if there’s any preventative maintenance I can do on my 2018- I only have 38k miles on my 3.6 and I’ve heard they fail at 50-75k :/
Just replaced our gasket and oil filter housing (aluminum) this past weekend. $1700 using a trusted local mechanic. About 15 labor hours.

That’s not horrible. Was it preventative? Or did they fail?

Single drip of oil per day/over night for the last month or 2. (2018 JL with 130k miles). Turned out one of the bolts on the head had loosened so unsure if it was the gasket or the bolt causing the leak.

The crusty pink by the hose clamp in the middle of this pic is what a coolant leak in a JL looks like. I was slowly losing coolant but never had a drip.

You’re talking about a valve cover gasket aren’t you? Head bolts aren’t leaking oil.

Valve cover gasket was changed out. 1 head bolt was loose, preventing a proper seal. Oil was pooled up around the loose bolt area.
