Looks so fucking good!

My wife is a controller by trade (head of accounting department), she'll tell me about people being dicks at work. My response, "tell them to fuck off". Apparently you can't do that in the corporate world? I tell her, "I guess that's why I work construction, I can and do tell people to fuck off all the time."

As a prominent member of the HR world, I will disagree and say that you can tell a coworker or employee to fuck off. However, you can only do it once. :CWL:

This might be a dumb question, but what is the purpose of putting the top of the B-pillar back in? Just for hard top support?
Mainly for the doors. I'll still need to keep the rain out.

Hardtop would be supported by the cage itself.

I can't even imagine the stress while making these cuts. I freaked out just mounting an aftermarket bumper!
Nice work, I'm following this one, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Passenger B-pillar complete. Next step is to get some fiber resin and fill in the pinholes and sand it down smooth, feather the metal into the existing paint, then paint the whole Jeep.

Thanks Brad. I've got one more video uploading and I think this thread is done for a bit. At least until I get it painted. Appreciate it, man.

Can we petition to have your username changed to @BallsOfSteel?

Seriously though, great work! Awesome that you're keeping us updated every step of the way! Looks like the most nerve-wracking part is over with the chops. Can't wait to see the progression going forward!

Rock on

I've got the half doors on the Jeep and getting ready to mark and cut the B-Pillar.

The kit comes with an upper and lower plate that will need welded on along with a rubber sheet to place between the B-pillar pieces once they're apart.

The Chop will allow the removal and re-installation of the B-Pillar upper half. You do need the GenRight cage for this mod since there are specific brackets built into the cage to securely mount the upper piece.

I may get to this, this weekend. We shall see. Right now, here are some before pics.

I have seen other folks doing this or talking about it.

My question is to you, WHY? What do you accomplish? Not a 4 guy at all, old school 2 dr and just wondering what purpose this serves...thank you.

I don't think it serves any purpose other than aesthetics. On the 2 door, there is no B-pillar body panel, just the B-pillar roll cage. Stock you all go from door directly to hardtop. This just gets rid of that transition.

I guess you can say it would help with visibility, which may be a stretch. After you get to half doors and top off, you have quite a bit of visibility.
