Super cool. I can only dream of such projects... living vicariously through these posts. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Just got to start chopping shit apart... then figure out how to put it back together. Lol. If you try to figure everything out upfront, you'll talk yourself out of doing it.

The adjuster can be mounted to the cage when the b-pillar is not in use.

I'll end up with 4 point harnesses at some point before the trip to CO in July.
Id definitely recommend a 5 or 6 point, I know they are harder to get in and out of but the extra protection is well worth it.

This is true... it's taken a couple decades of twerkin' on things to work out the tools I need and don't need for my hobby's. I don't have a "shop" anymore though. Just working out of the garage here.

Its one of the biggest things that kept me from putting more work into the Xterra. All kinds of fun fab projects that are just able to be purchased off the shelf for the Jeep that you have to make on something like the Xterra.

The Xterra def isn't supported by the aftermarket like a Jeep is. I imagine you'd have to build or fab a whole bunch of stuff for it. Certainly nothing like a pillar chop.

Even sliders and bumpers are hard to come by and forget cool shit like the under seat air compressor lol. There are a few things you can find, but a lot of stuff online are all out of business now or everything is for the 2nd Gen. Oh and the only gears you can get for the front R180 are 5.13 and those are for drift cars since its the same diff out of the 350z. So yea its a whole new world for me lol.

Can we petition to have your username changed to @BallsOfSteel?

Seriously though, great work! Awesome that you're keeping us updated every step of the way! Looks like the most nerve-wracking part is over with the chops. Can't wait to see the progression going forward!

Rock on

@chevymitchell How long will it take to get it all back together? Looks like quite a bit of time will be involved.
It’ll take 6-8 hours maybe to assemble all of the parts you see in the pics. It’s really not too much work. For me, I’ll be going through and replacing all the plastic clips and whatnot that broke coming off. Some of the plastic is faded from the sun. Pain Train is a 2019, so some things will get replaced just because. Like the hood latches and several seals.

I’ve got a Metal Cloak lift job coming this weekend, otherwise I’d have it together by Saturday night. Lol
