Gauge Cluster difference between 2024 trim levels

Anyone know why Sport and Willys models get a different gauge cluster than Rubicon and Sahara models (Temperature & Gas Gauges are analog vs. digital)?

The 7-Inch Driver Information Digital Cluster Display is standard on the higher trim levels. Looks like in the Sport S and Willys if you add the convenience group, you get that 7 inch digital display.

Just another way to justify higher prices in the higher trim levels.

It is normal for manufacturers to add niceties to the higher trim levels to lure you into spending more money.

Simple. They are the very base models. It's been this way on the JL since it was introduced in 2018.

Like others have said to change the cluster you will need to get the convenience group to get the larger colored cluster.

Standard behavior by the OEMs to differentiate various trim levels. E.g., it's pretty stark on certain Hondas.

I always thought it was because Sahara and Rubicon drivers are way cooler. ?

Yeah, when we ordered my wife's '18 Sport S, I believe the upgraded cluster and 7" radio was all part of the Technology package along with the power remote locks, mirrors, and windows.

My '18 Sport is a base model and has the analog gauges with crank windows and manual locks.
