I don't think anyone system is better than the other, its just each individuals preference. As long as you got air, that's all that matters. Our last trip to moab, We were told by one of the Outfitters that you can Air down to 18-20 lbs and drive on it all week in the vacinity of Moab and all the trails as long as you don't exceed 60mph.
It really depends on how often you use the air though.

I don’t typically go to MOAB or anywhere where I’d be aired down for an extended period of time.

So the connection I draw with Co2 is time. I typically air down (15psi) now-a-days to run the beaches which I do often, very often. Which means once I’m done I need to air up that day like within minutes. Now it’s usually not hard to find an air station down the road which typically costs a whopping $1.50 and takes awhile so I end up spending roughly $4.50-$5.00+.

With Co2 running 285/70/R17’s (33’s) I can air up from 15psi to 30psi in just over a minute and a half all (4) tires. That’s 27 seconds a tire and out of a 15gal tank I would be able to accomplish that 33 times before needing a refill.

Air compressor are convenient in the since that they can be cheaper and they do not require refills.

But if you’re off-roading a lot or live somewhere where you’re on and off the trails on a whim day to day or often Co2 is a Wheelin necessity because it is so quick.

While I may end up with an air compressor temporarily the end game for me is Co2.

I guess selling them is the only other option.
Did you see the post I sent you with the lockers wiring harnesses?

True...... for what’s worth I was in 2 wd with rear locked for 80 percent of what we were doing. Some 4 h with rear locked, but it’s one of the best things I’ve done to my rig.

pricing tires 2200.00 out the door for the Nitto's I want. makes the cost of wiring a steal.

@Ran4

Ride is looking nice man! Should be much better out there now.

We will probably be somewhat similar in height as I went a slightly different route, Rubicon suspension w/Teraflex .5” Level Load Spacer Kit, should yield up to 2-2.5” of lift but we will see.. I’m thinking it may settle around 1.75” or so.

At any rate, welcome to the addiction. It doesn’t stop there... Believe me...
Thanks Mort! I hear ya regarding the addiction. I've been shopping bumpers, winches, air compressors, etc. Not sure how far and I can go and still keep my 31 year marriage intact!.. I figure that if I take it slow and easy, I can keep adding stuff little by little..:)

A little at a time works. The winch that was going on mine was bought when I was at my first duty station on an E-3s salary 28 years ago. Some of my recovery gear is at least 8 to 10 years old. Mind you I inspect and care for them to keep it in good shape.

Yeah, that figures ....inflation I guess. It’s crazy to pay 80.00 for a hot and a ground wire in a wire loom, lol. The connector is where they get you. It is water proof though just like the factory connection.

But something draws me to the Co2 setup. I guess it wouldn’t make sense to get it because I’d just be sitting there waiting for everyone else to air up lol
That's actually a good point! :)
