September in the Colorado mountains might mean snow at the higher elevations. The window is pretty narrow there. For Moab, September is perfect. I did Beasley Knob last year with some other guys, and Windrock I've been to on several occasions. That area is massive!
Hey Randy enjoyed the videos. Thanks for sharing. Spectacular views.

Brief intro - two years since we moved to SW Florida. We're somewhat nomadic (job moves) so our origins are all over (CA, AZ, GA, TX, and FL). Looking forward to western adventures. Heading to Durango, CO next month.

Kevin,

Yes, definitely head north out of Durango on 550 (aka: The Million Dollar Highway) up to Silverton, over Red Mountain Pass, and on into Ouray. You will go past the trailheads to several of the mountain passes (Alpine Loop, Engineer Pass, Black Bear, Ophir, and others). They are all great, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be Imogene Pass out of Telluride (you can pick it up out of Ouray too, but I prefer running it from Telluride back to Ouray). I absolutely love Jeeping out there, and will almost certainly be back next year for my third in a row..:).. enjoy and be safe!

Any of the north FL crew have a recommended path through Osceola National Forest they are willing to share? I see the maps available online, but hard to determine if one is preferable and don’t want to necessarily drive blind my first time out there. I used search functionality, but that wasn’t much help.

Sorry that's out of Roky's area he knows about. There are couple of more on here who might know. Sure they will see this post and reply if they know. Keep eye on post.

Unfortunately as far as I know Ocala is still too tight to traverse without getting pin stripped. That may have changed recently. If you don’t care about your paint then by all means lol

oh you said Osceola lol I’ll ask a buddy of mine that goes often

Just got back from NC and ran the Dickey Bell BOH Trail. Spent a few nights at the Biden Lake campground. Both the Trail Head and the campground were very difficult to locate. Trail is marked with a 4 inch red diamond shaped plate with a 91 spray painted on it. very difficult to spot. Once you get on the the trail, It's easy to follow and runs 3.5 miles long. The toughest part is within the first 10 minutes where you will reach a very rugged rocky section on the right. I attempted it but had some underbody contact and smashed my tailpipe again. decided to back out and take the left route which was no problem. We will be headed up to Tennessee over thanxgiving to run the three trails at Windrock if anyone wants to join.
