I'm sure you'll have no problem, we didn't need lockers. You can take Ophir to telluride which took us just one hour then Imogene back to ouray which took maybe 3 hours
We did Imogene about two weeks ago and it is 13,114 at the summit. We brought along a small can of oxygen that you can purchase at many places in the San Juan's. If you feel a slight headache coming on then take a couple blasts of the oxygen and you will be fine.
You can't start drilling holes on the edge of shelf roads. You create weak spots and cracks along the line that connects each guard rail post. It weakens the side of the cliff and will fall off making the shelf road more narrow.
I've done Copper Ridge Dinosaur track site. It is a short hike from the parking lot and it's a pretty cool small track site with very well defined tracks. Very easy to find.

On your way in to Monument Valley, I believe its between mile marker 11 and 13 you will come across Forrest Gump Point. Make sure you stop for a photo.

Gouldings, see where the John Wayne movie "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" was filmed Capt. Nathan Brittles cabin is still there, the saloon in the movie was renovated into Gouldings restaurant and the museum was the fort commanders quarters.
