Anyone do fender gut and use the stock LED turn signals? They're already there, they work, paid for and definitely zero weird warning lights on the dash from them LOL.
Nobody?

Watched several fender gut videos and for some reason Jeep made the stock lights absurdly huge, which can be seen once they are removed from the fenders!!! So probably no on using the stock lights, unless I cut them in half horizontally, glue back to together so they are thinner top to bottom wise, then maybe reroute the stock light wiring harness.

Who's cutting off the now un-used metal body color painted brackets that nothing attaches to once the front fenders are gutted?

Several people myself included, @yokramer has a video I believe. If you’re talking about the two that support the underside of the fender and not the two that support the turn signal assembly. Bend up bend down like you’re trying to break a paper clip then smooth any edges, primer and paint. Super easy to break. I painted with some aftermarket paint match rattle can…not my finest hour but if you have your head up in my fender well looking there are weirder things going on, I think I remember a photo of the stock turn signals being used somehow and it looked odd…to me

How did you do the chop while keeping the bottom edge and flare extension as shown in image on the left? That's what I am looking to do but can't find a video that shows how it's done.

Did you have to keep the factory liner? I'd prefer to do an aluminum liner while keeping the flare extension if possible.

I found that the Motobilt rear fender liners had less clearance than the OEM plastic. These aluminum liners are all pretty much copies of each other. After the rear fender chop, I ended up ditching the aluminum Motobilt liners and putting the OEM plastic liners back in, with trimming of the liner itself.
