I still get the alerts and my Guardian app still tells me mileages, tire pressure, fuel level, oil life. I haven't paid for it in over a year now. I don't get the other Guardian features. Maybe a fluke.I'm fairly certain those alerts come from the SiriusXM Guardian thing. I got those until my 1 year free subscription expired, then never got them again. You can probably turn that off on the website.
At the bottom of the email it gives a link to remove yourself from the report.I regularly receive notices from FCA about my Jeep's tire pressure and oil condition, I consider this to be spyware and want to turn it off.
Does anyone know how or if it can be done? I don't like Big Brother or FCA watching me.
Remove yourself from the reporting, but does not remove your vehicle from reporting back to Jeep/FCA/Stellantis.At the bottom of the email it gives a link to remove yourself from the report.
I'm tired of being a 'sold' product and want out from as much 'free service' as possible.I never set up my XM/Guardian service. They tell you it's a "free service". But remember that if you're not paying for it, you're not the customer, you're the product being sold.
I'm not the same GrimmJeeper as the one on NAXJA.I'm tired of being a 'sold' product and want out from as much 'free service' as possible.
I remember you from the NAXJA forum and see you still have your Cherokee and Commanche, I still have a pair of XJs too. If the wife had her way, they would be gone.
The Cherokees were a perfect size, no need for a JLU to carry four, and my 2001 XJ will do anything my 2-door Rubicon can and have more storage and a lot better ground clearance.
Too bad the XJ's electrical harnesses deteriorated, with no new ones available and most of the plugs needed to build a replacement harness being obsolete and no longer available.
If I could have bought a new, 1999 XJ, I would have and built it from there.
I got tired of working on the XJs all the time and made the mistake of thinking a new Rubicon would be trouble-free. The new Rubicon came with a loose steering box, which only took FCA seven weeks to replace it, great customer service. Now I'm being tracked not just by my phone but by Jeep and no one has a clue how to eliminate it or keep it from happening.
Big Brother lives on.
I regularly receive notices from FCA about my Jeep's tire pressure and oil condition,
It's not available to us in Australia, same as we don't get the over the air updates (have to go to the dealer) or the wifi hotspot option etc.How do you receive the notice?
