Why would you arrive at that?My suspicion is that they may be reserving the turbo for the 4xe's?

Because that’s the only engine the 4xe ships with but that’s assuming the 2.0L parts are scarce. Why would you arrive at that?
I was thinking that, as @alksion said, it's the only motor used in the 4xe. If they want to push their fleet mpg's up it would make sense to reserve enough motors to be able to build them? I could be totally wrong, it's only a guess. They may have so many future 4xe orders for them that they restricted them in certain builds. You can still order the 2.0L in other trims, right? Aren't they also making you get the XR package now on all 3.6L Rubi builds here lately? That's another way to force you into that upsell. Why would you arrive at that?
Thanks! I didnt want to bug the dealer since its only been a week or so...figured Jeep chat would give me the standard answer but at least wanted to see.Welcome. You will spend most of your time in D. They say once you move to D1, either you will revert back to D, you rot in D1 for a long while or your build quickly proceeds.
What is your build BTW?
I placed an order for an Unlimited Rubicon with the 2.0L back on July 14th and yesterday they are telling me that they aren't accepting orders for Rubicons with the 2.0L. I am fighting with my dealer on it because this wasn't the case when I signed the paperwork with them, but it is their Jeep rep that is not accepting the order now. They’re not accepting orders for the 2.0 engine option till 2022 orders open up. That was confirmed yesterday by the dealer I’m working with.
DId you get a VIN? It was my understanding that indicates Jeep did, in fact, accept your order.I placed an order for an Unlimited Rubicon with the 2.0L back on July 14th and yesterday they are telling me that they aren't accepting orders for Rubicons with the 2.0L. June 18th was less than 8 weeks ago. What was your expectation? I ordered June 15th and now expect delivery mid-October. 18 weeks. Even though I was told 6 weeks as most others were, it was never my expectation.Well, it feels like about the same time that stone rolled from in front of that cave.
In reality, June 18. So basically, an eternity in Jeep wait time.
Where are you getting mid-oct date from? I ordered June 14th(57days), still in D status and no approximate date given at all, not from dealer, jeep chat or jeep cares team. I ordered a jeep in 2019 and 2020, both arrived in under 7 weeks. I did not expect that this go around but I definitely did not expect 18 weeks. 12 weeks maybe. you have the patience of a saint.June 18th was less than 8 weeks ago. What was your expectation? Never got a VON or a VIN.DId you get a VIN? It was my understanding that indicates Jeep did, in fact, accept your order.
I expected to be driving it by late July. As it is I have no idea at all when they will start the build. No one will provide any answers on the delay.June 18th was less than 8 weeks ago. Then your salesman never placed the order. VON is instantaneous. I got mine from the dealer while I was on the phone with him placing the order.Never got a VON or a VIN.
