I'm going to agree that this sounds more like the order was never placed. I placed my order a week after you and got a VON the next morning and my VIN a few days later.


Then your salesman never placed the order. VON is instantaneous. I got mine from the dealer while I was on the phone with him placing the order.

Does the POC say 99 for the buils status or 01. 01 means they put in the order. 99 is preliminary order and it wasn’t placed yet.

You are correct. I found this out yesterday. The inventory manager told me he had to wait until his Jeep rep showed him to place another order. When he finally tried to place my order it would not let him choose the 2.0T for the JLUR. He said he's trying to work with the Jeep rep to push my order through because it was available when i signed the buyers order on July 14th.

Where are you getting mid-oct date from? I ordered June 14th(57days), still in D status and no approximate date given at all, not from dealer, jeep chat or jeep cares team. I ordered a jeep in 2019 and 2020, both arrived in under 7 weeks. I did not expect that this go around but I definitely did not expect 18 weeks. 12 weeks maybe. you have the patience of a saint.
Jeep sent me and many others a letter via email on July 30th with my expected delivery to the dealer date; week of October 19th. I contacted Jeep chat a week before so I assume this is how they got my contact information. I'm really not a patient person at all, but I've come to learn not to stress on the things I have no control over. I don't understand folks contacting JC 2-3 times per week and 'escalating' their cases. Bottom line there are many supply shortages and me contact JC repeatedly is not going to do a thing. My only option is to wait and not to get myself stressed over it.

Let me shed some light, as Jeep has many of us, literally, in the dark.

We have not received any Emails, any dates, any information, nothing, except "gathering/scheduling parts" for months. Be it from JC, JPS or our dealers.

We know this is bullshit because we can see folks ordering weeks after we did picking up their rigs, so we know its not a parts shortage, but rather selective order fulfillment by Jeep. All we want to know is why we are being delayed, perhaps it is something as simple as color choice, which we could change.

I too am pretty patient, I've always been Type A+, so this attribute is somewhat foreign to me but my new found IIWII attitude does make life less stressful sometimes.

I think for me it is the principle of the thing. I don't expect special treatment, but I do expect to be treated fairly and frankly, when spending this kind of money, I expect a reasonable level of customer service and transparency in the process.

In as far as contacting JC, yeah, I think that is just us grasping at straws. Trying to get even a tiny shred of information and hope.

This will be my first Wranger, hell my first Jeep, in fact. I didn't think I was in a hurry, but at the time I ordered a 4-6 week delivery time seemed to be the norm, but now as I watch reasonable weather slipping away and all the damn people around here driving around naked everyday, it does wear on me.

This whole process has been less than ideal. In the end it will be worth it, but it will be hard driving my brand new rig around for months not being able to have any panels off.

So yeah, you are right, it is ridiculous to check for a build sheet or window sticker several times a day and call JC a few times a week, and yet, I will continue to do so until they ship my Wrangler or cancel the order, which honestly, is what I think will happen. In reality, I wish they would just roll it into a 22. I really don't want it before next spring now anyway.

So, keep us apprised of your builds progress. Everytime I see someone who has waited months finally get shipped, it makes me smile a little. ?

I wish that a former Toledo manufacturing plant employee who knows how the build process selection works, would come on here and clue us in.

I'm only 2 weeks ahead of you, same dealer. Something tells me ill be looking at pics of yours while Im waiting on hold with Jeep Phone Support.

EXACTLY what I have been thinking employee wise. We need a site called "ToledoUnderground" where FCA employees could post what really goes on there.

I heard they shut plant down for a week but nothing on a cancelation I have a 2021 willy on order so far 3 weeks in and still on d status
