Hey Fellow Eco-Diesel Owners ?
Pretty cool this feature burning off soot automatically ?
2022 JLURD. 1st time message has ever popped up in 2+ yrs/ @ 33,500 miles
As you can see attached. Caught me off guard for a moment
Btw, I continued driving @ 35mph for another 10 mins, and it message cleared saying finished
Message said finished, but my camera wasn't ready ?
Love this Diesel ?

Pretty sure it has happened before, but you never know. This message appears when you shut the Jeep off too many times during active regens and it never preforms a full regen. Basically a bunch of short trips and not up to good operating temp.

I believe the Jeeps canned tune has it set to perform a regen ever 750 miles. This is no matter what your current soot load is. Then the Jeep will perform one at 80% soot load (this is based on a Scanguage).

Glad you only hit one now. I hit two of these message before I ordered a Scanguage to monitor Soot Load more. Therefore I knew when I was in a regen to not shut down and perform it fully to not get these Jeep messages.

Very Good information
I believe it did happen last trip going to airport. However, no message ever appeared
And you're absolutely ? right lots of short trips lately. Hanging on beach â›±
As a 1st time Jeep & Diesel Owner, I do find this feature to be very cool ?
Much appreciated ?

I've got 35k miles on mine and that's never popped up, but just do what it says. It needs to burn off the soot.
I decided to listen to instructions for a change haha ?
Message finally said "finished" after driving continuously @35 mph for 10 mins ish
Still strange to finally see it pop up
Best wishes ?

When you see that message.....it is kinda a bad thing. As stated above, you've interrupted too many active regens and now the ECU is telling you to drive it until it is complete. If you never see it again, that's a good thing, you are driving it enough to burn off the soot.

I'm thinking the reason it's never happened to me (~35k miles) is due to living in a tiny town where there's interstate travel involved to go just about anywhere.

I installed a Banks iDash DataMonster to monitor various temperatures, turbo performance, voltage and soot levels/regen status. It helps to avoid interrupting a regeneration in progress. I have never seen that message, but now I know why.

Actually, it’s exactly eleven minutes. No need to drive at a set speed. You just can’t put the vehicle in park while it’s regening. I suspect that you could simply sit in place with the Jeep in drive and your foot on the brake.
