Just curious what peoples thoughts were regarding engine badging on the Jeep? Anyone think Jeep should start placing a small badge on the back identifying engine type? The 392 is easy to spot but wondering if other engine types should be noted? I believe earlier Wrangler models had small writing in the back such as 4.0. I was tempted to try to find a factory looking engine badge for mine.

The only engines not called out are the 2.0t and the 3.6L. The 4xe, 392 and Diesel have badging.

What would be the purpose? Just for interest?
I feel like to display what engine is in it as there are a few types now. Figured I would ask and see what others thought.

Good point, I forgot on the 4xe is pretty noticeable! How is the diesel identified?

It has an EcoDiesel badge on the back, if I recall correctly.
Cool, I'll have to look for that. I guess I feel left out with my 2.0! Feel like we got left out of the engine badging! Ha!

Tbh, the only engine worth noting would be the 392. I don't know what's so special about a 2.0L 4-cylinder or a 3.6L V6. ?‍♂
And that is probably why they are not identified! Just looking for input and thoughts about the badging.

There is at least one thread here about people adding 2.0 Turbo badges from Amazon to their Jeeps. I never though that much about it. I used to remove badging from my vehicles in the past...

Traditionally Jeep badged the optional engine, not the base motor.

E.g., TJ showed 4.0, but not 2.5L 4-cyl; Grand Cherokee said V8, but not V6, etc.

Not sure which one is the "base" engine on JL. The 3.6 V6? The 2.0T 4-cyl? The 3.6 V6 eTorque? All of the above...?

If it is still about badging the optional powetrain, then Jeep is already doing that: EcoDiesel, 4Xe, 392...
