As with anything their is always possible end around but I would say it does not happen often enough for the general public to be concerned that their info is being shared for fraud. Stay safe on the streets!!
They would most likely be registered with NCIC for plates info. I would imagine their access is limited to vehicle information and not registered owner information.
Having worked in law enforcement for a few years, in order for a plate to be run it must be entered into the NCIC database. Patrol units would call the plate into dispatch and a person who is logged into the database enters the plate info and relays back the registered owner details. Each log in...
Best part about both of those colors is that black accents will make either color pop. I like Jeeps with color. I think a Jeep with color puts a smile on my face as well as others. I think you will be happy with either color as it will be your Jeep!
