True, and we're all guilty of a repetitive question from time to time. I think the idea of a person buying a brand new vehicle and not knowing what type of engine it has... just makes me want to yell at someone.

Congratulations! My understanding is the eTorque was only available for the '19 and 20's. Back then a lot of folks thought this was to test for the 4xe. @Xcoaste nailed how I would check.

Actually E Torque was first available on the 2018 wrangler, paired to the 2.0

The best way to tell if any vehicle has eTorque is to open the hood and see if there is an alternator. If there is, then it doesn't have it.

You give way to much credit to the average Jeep owners knowledge. The VAST majority have no idea what an alternator is, what it looks like, where it is and would not be able to differentiate it from the eTorque generator/motor even if they could find it. This assumes they know how to open the hood.

If you need to know, next time you are getting gas, ask the station attendant filling your jeep if you have etorq.
