Do you happen to know the code that is coming up?300 miles on JL. The start stop stopped working. Has anyone experience this issue?
ThanksDan, watch for more posts on your question, like Blackwater said, if you got the true 3.6 e-torque and auto, there are tons of things that cause the system to not activate. Cabin temperatures, engine temperatures are just a few. And yes, they do have a battery for this system, it’s a big 48 volt battery located along the drivers side, has a skid plate and cooling lines that run into the engine bay, even has it’s own reservoir for coolant. So, read your manual and it tells you some of the reasons why it isn’t working,.It only works when all conditions for the system is correct.
Only ignorant fools believe this enough to tell it to others. If the stop/start function is not working, something significant is wrong.start-stop not working? If only i was as lucky as you.
It’s not broken, it’s actually fixed.
Scroll to the ESS page on the instrument cluster to see what is wrong. If “service stop start”isn’t lighting up on the cluster, it’s probably not bad. But, it might be.Thought my 2021 2.0 T ESS wasn't working either after less than 1000 miles, but discovered today that it does work, I just wasn't holding the brake pedal hard enough..lol
It seems like it can be manipulated to keep engine running by just the amount of pressure you put on the brake pedal???
I will test it again tomorrow to make sure that was the issue
Update, I tested it out today again to make sure if it was me or the car... seems it has a mind of its own and only seems to work when it wants to. Going to make an appointment and get it squared away. Most likely an issue with the auxiliary battery.
