1st pic is under driver seat. It will be the same on passenger side. 2nd pic is under rear driver bench seat. Will be same on passenger side also. 3rd pic is rear footwell. It is closer to the console area. Cutouts should be there but may be hard to see. It’s been so long since I had carpet I don’t remember. Hopefully the pics give you an idea of location.

Edit:You’re a smart person. Don’t ever doubt yourself.

Remove the carpet if this is going to be a recurring issue.

Also, for my 2013 JKUR that was not garage kept, I developed a fantastic system to keep water out when sitting at home doors off/top down. Cheap and simple. Get a 20x20 waterproof tarp (I got mine from Ace Hardware. Then add in a 4" flexible plastic irrigation tube. Simply place the tube fore to aft along the middle of the Jeep, lay the tarp over it, and tuck the extra tarp corners into the wheel well spaces at all four corners. I ended up using a longer piece of PVC inside the bigger tube to keep it in place and centered. Withstands up to tropical depression storms with a line from grommets side to side in they middle. You can carry the tarp with you if need be, but without the tube support, it will pool up and create problems removing and leaks. Still, good for 20-30 minute events while underway.

I have a cab cover (quadratec cab cover) ...that does pool...which is where a majority of my issues come from when removing it ...pooled w/ water. I wonder if your PVC technique would work for this as well..? hmmmm ..

I do. I am running like that usually from April Fools Day :) to Halloween. NW Iowa so the weather is ever changing. When I KNOW there are storms on the way, I carry my drivers side half-window because we usually get winds as well.

When on long trips, we take all the plastic windows for security and protection. Then remove when on the trails. https://www.facebook.com/reel/1120676698657856

IDK, the tarp 20x20 tarp was overly large and could be stretched taunt easily. With a little practice I could cover the Jeep in less than 3 minutes.
My new rig is hardtop and garage kept. Also leather seats I have interest in drenching.

Well, at least the carpet removal is in the '23 Owner's manual starting on page 363. Take out the carpet and you'll see the drain plugs. They just pop out.

But if you need to see pics of the actual plugs and locations, the Armorlite flooring install guide shows them pretty well. Link to their install guide

It kinda seems like there are 8-10 total drain plugs.

4 in footwells under carpet cutouts
2/4 under seats, under carpet/no cutout
1 in storage are under cargo
1 in jack compartment

Thank you... very considerate to reply with this... I did see this in the manual, and it will help me out locating these drain plugs. Still don't know why they would not have these clearly marked and cut out.... probably just not an issue with most Jeepers apparently.... I have the half door package and like to run with top / windows off. Get caught out sometimes.... TMI probably. Thanks again. Brad

2 front footwell, 2 rear footwell, jack storage area, rear cargo storage well or whatever it’s called, probably more. Don’t be afraid to pull up carpets etc to look. You’ll probably find some spare change and soggy french fries

IMG_1460.jpeg

question for you.. I have the factory Rubber slushmats...and it's puzzling why they wouldn't have these cutouts on the mats and in the carpet where you have circled... mine has neither.... will have to adapt and overcome ! what mats do you have that has these cutouts and was your carpet cut there where you have circled ?

No, I have a 2023 2-door JL Sport S. The cutouts were hard to see but they became apparent when I used the wet vac. Run you fingers lightly over the carpet to make them easier to locate.

But opening those drains will not, by themselves, dry the carpeting. You need a wet vac (shop vac) or hours under the sun.

Thanks a bunch... i agree with the shop vac for sure and used that technique when I noticed there was no drainage. I drove an 01' TJ for 18 years.... little easier to configure.... now with me having confidence finding these plugs ... i will be in great shape... thanks to all the support on this forum and yourself sir. Thanks aain
