Drain Plugs

I have a 23' JLU (4 door) Wrangler. I leave the top off most of the time, and it rains. How do I drain all the water out of the tub (interior) ?
I know of the two drain plugs in front of the drivers seat and passenger seat......but how about the back ? are there any other drain plugs ? the carpet in back stays wet forever..... underneath my factory slush mats in back .........and under the front seats. Funny thing is... called dealerships and 4x4 shop... nobody knows the answer to ... "How many drain plugs are in the JLU and where are they" ??

2 front footwell, 2 rear footwell, jack storage area, rear cargo storage well or whatever it’s called, probably more. Don’t be afraid to pull up carpets etc to look. You’ll probably find some spare change and soggy french fries

How to remove carpet and drain plugs is covered in the Owner's manual.

2 front footwells, 1 under each front seat, 2 rear footwells, 1 under each outboard rear seat and 1 in the rear under the stock jack. Remove carpet and put mats back down. You will thank me later.

I left our '23 2-door JL in the driveway one afternoon, fell asleep and, of course, it rained, Hard, I got it into the garage but not before there was pooled water on the WeatherTech floor mats, cup holders etc. Removimg the floor mats caused some water to spill. I did open the drain plugs but that wasn't gonna dry out the carpet. I used my wet vac to pull water out of the carpet. Much, much better than waiting for the carpet to dry.

still ... drain plugs besides the front ?? any direction on that ?

when i pull the REAR factory slush mats out..(no cutouts for drains..REAR) . I don't see any perforations in the carpet or signs of drain plugs under the front seats.. i am not very smart ..soo please tell me more .. i am listeniing .... are these concealed under the carpet which is factory tucked into trim and whatnot ... ??

I realize this is not a product you are installing but it’s does show the carpeting and drain plugs if you skim through it

1st pic is under driver seat. It will be the same on passenger side. 2nd pic is under rear driver bench seat. Will be same on passenger side also. 3rd pic is rear footwell. It is closer to the console area. Cutouts should be there but may be hard to see. It’s been so long since I had carpet I don’t remember. Hopefully the pics give you an idea of location.

No, I have a 2023 2-door JL Sport S. The cutouts were hard to see but they became apparent when I used the wet vac. Run you fingers lightly over the carpet to make them easier to locate.

But opening those drains will not, by themselves, dry the carpeting. You need a wet vac (shop vac) or hours under the sun.

i have located the (4) footwell plugs... (The rear footwell plugs are covered by carpet with no cutouts)
i have NOT located the (4) plugs under seats... they must be hidden by carpet as well with no cutouts... (does not make sense currently how they are not cut out or indicated on the factory slushmats)
