One of the attachment points came loose/broke, but they were also too much work to put on and adjust. Once adjusted, highway speed would blow them around until they were useless. I’m anal, and so it also bugged me if they weren’t angled the same on both sides so that there was symmetry when looking head on at the Jeep.

Anyway, I upgraded to CMMs. They’re fantastic.
Still worth the extra coin?

100% yes. No regrets. I mounted mine to the bottom of the grab handles which puts them at the same height as the factory mirrors. (No idea why the included instructions have them mounted on top. Maybe because if you get them with the ball mount that’d be a better place for a GoPro? I ordered mine minus the ball mount because I have no use for it.)

The quality is outstanding, and they are super simple to put on and take off. They don’t move at all, even at 80mph.

Well damn.

Guess I'll spend the money. I kind of like the mounts for the GoPro's but realistically I won't need them very often. SO delete it is.

Thanks!

Any pics of them mounted in this position?
Thanks

Off topic..I’ve got the same EAG tube doors. Live in them when warmer....mirrors not a bother for me. But, I still have issues with the door latch hitting the sticker. Only the drivers front lol.

Did /do you? short of adjusting the strikers.... Any hints how you lined them up? The other 3 latch like a glove.

Looks like they have the longer 6" bars now. Wonder if I should still get the shorter bar for drivers side?
You still happy with this setup at highway speed?

I was dead set on CMM, but I think this actually looks better and is half the cost.
I have the DoubleTake's, 2" arm on driver side and 3" arm on passenger side. I also debated getting the longer 6" stem for passenger and going with 3" on driver side. I'm glad I didn't. I have nothing obstructing my vision and they don't stick out too far. I was worried the longer arms would hit trees and shrubs when off roading, not so worried with the 2" and 3" arms.

I love this setup and virtually no shaking on the highway. After going with these, it's hard to justify anything more expensive. I have no doubt the CMM's are everything others are saying about them, but the DoubleTakes work excellent at half the cost.

Rec'd the CMM's a bit ago and just had the first chance to use them this past weekend. Worth every penny - tehse follow the "you get what you pay for" cliche. Easy put-on and take-off. Solid and NO vibrations at highway speeds. Easy adjust and stays put. One of the few mods I cannot find fault with.

If you are patient and checking Facebook and craigslist, you can find a pair of the CCM mirrors cheap. I got mine used really cheap in perfect condition. And I mount them at the top. They just seem less invasive there. It took a day of driving to get used to them there but now I love them in that position. Huge fan and I highly recommend!

A lucky find, I never found them come up on the used market. Still, I am glad I got them. Great mirrors.

I placed my order for the CMM Ball Mount Delete today and used WK15 for the 15% discount. Hopefully they arrive soon since the Top Lift Pro will be here this week.
