Picked up a set of Carolina Metal Masters new product for the Jl, a mount that attaches with the OEM hardware, and let's you attach a quick release mirror. Also leaves a ram mount there when the doors are on! They are so cool and look fantastic!

Love it, thanks for posting! I've had their solid alloy tie rod & draglink on my JK and was very happy with the quality of their products.

Yeah I agree $250 is too rich for my blood. I love the idea/design, but I agree that's a lot of money for what it is.
Not to mention if I get a set, my wife would also want one so that's $500 for mirrors.....

You have to realize it's not just 2 mirrors. It's the mounts as well and the process that goes into it. The mirror stands and the mounts are solid billet. After spending almost $40k on a vehicle, I kind of just want quality, OEM looking parts. Not Cheap, Chinese junk. And I can respect the time and effort that went into this as well. People that did not even know jeeps always complemented the CMM handles on my JK.

I can understand the sticker shock. I was just in need and wanting such a product, and I know their quality, so I was happy to support them in return for a product I love.

Well, you did buy terrific mirrors. The way they intergrate into the factory grab handles is something else.

By the way, they have no stock of those mirrors. They had 2 or so sets at the show and no others for sale yet.

I choked when I saw the price myself, but bought them anyways because they are the cleanest implementation of what I wanted and thats chump change compared to the cost of the loaded JLUR. Was the install smooth, because I have to wait until I get back in town to install them? What was the easiest way to remove the plastic cover on the oh shit handle without damaging it?

Was posting from my phone earlier so said little about the mirrors and mounting hardware you bought. I saw the installed mirrors on that JLU at the track at about 9:30am Saturday. I spotted them, was drawn to them and was wowed by them. Quality stuff!

The hardware looked like it just grew out of that JLU. Like it was factory. I actually asked to sit in that JLU and I did ... I fooled with those mirrors for probably 5 minutes. I walked over to the booth of the guy that was selling them. He said he only had a couple of sets and that show price was $250.00. I wanted them so bad...

I walked around all morning telling my girlfriend how sweet they were...... but just couldn't bring myself back to that booth to purchase because of the price. I did get the guys card and maybe someday, I will buy them. What a terrific set of mirrors.

After using them awhile, please let me know how viewing is, etc..

Those look great, but again, the price is outlandish. On top of that, I can see that RAM mount being the last thing to go through your mind in an accident.

Can tell you they were oh so sweet. My birthday is this Thur. and my girlfriend who was with me, offered to buy them for me for my birthday... I couldn't even let her, spend that kind of money on mirrors. Yes, I was oh so close but just could not pull the trigger on them. Would have really liked to have those mirrors on my JL...

I picked up a set at Jeep Beach as well! Just installed today and they are solid and fit like factory. I was very curious what CMM would do now that Jeep has integrated a factory handle, so I was pleasently surprised with their design. Many have ripped off their grab handle designs, so I''m happy to support a good American Made company. They also have a lower mount for the bottom of the handle that will provide another RAM mount off the bottom coming soon.

They look great...and like everyone else...that price is huge for two mirrors. The majority of the mirrors I seen can sit right in the door hinge and I think that's fine as well. I'd buy them for $100..hopefully the price will drop in the next year or two.
