Driving in bad traffic on the interstate, 65-70+ mph, slow down/speed up, construction zones, you know the drill.

The tractor trailer riding my bumper wasn't going to go any faster getting past me than behind me. He could no doubt see the lineup in front of him. A vehicle changed lanes in front of me, I had to hit my brakes a bit while looking in the rear view mirror. He later blew his horn at me before I got out ahead of him.

Right lane newly paved, I was in the left lane, construction barrels, right lane also crowded. Changing lanes due to the traffic and the uneven surface was just not going to work.

Later, another trucker was flashing his lights at me. Same deal, I couldn't drive faster than I was going because of a line of traffic ahead.

A few months ago, I would blame myself because of the way my Rubicon drove, but with what I've done to it, it drives just fine, and I'm not afraid to wind it out.

LisaMc, Life's Love for forty years, has no problem pointing out anything I do that doesn't suit her. She's adorable. She agreed with me that my driving was just fine. We eventually got off the interstate so I could check brake lights, etc. Fully functional.

I've had car drivers passing me aggressively even though I'm keeping up with traffic. Do people hate us? I can't make any sense of this.

Rhetorical question, right? ;-)

I've noticed more drivers around here are stressed out as they drive and are more aggressive. I makes me glad to be a remote worker.

Just as when I was riding motorcycles, I just ride my ride and let them be. (Yes, honking, flashing lights, etc. can get old fast).

No, although I suspect there's no real answer.

I just don't remember this kind of ******** before a year ago when I got my Jeep.

Most truck drivers these days shouldn't be anywhere near a vehicle of that size. It's almost certainly because there are so many trucks on the road they really had to lower the bar for drivers...but the days of truck drivers generally being smart and safe, due to the fact that their line of work is so dangerous to begin with, are long gone. If I see an owner/operator i'll give them the benefit of the doubt but a Wal-Mart/Prime/LTL type driver gets no additional respect from me...there's no reason to assume they're any more qualified to be driving that truck than your average Altima driver.

This exactly.
I've encountered several that have no business even driving a golf cart, much less 80,000lbs of truck.

Dude, you asked. He wasn't rude at all in his original reply and you got hurt feelings.
And I thanked him for his consideration.

But I also appreciate your contribution to my question.

It is you that is the problem. If you are in the left lane and not passing and pissing off both trucks and cars, you are the problem.

Honestly I don't get treated any different in my Rubicon than I do in my F-150. I have always felt most people really like the Wranglers especially the truckers who are blue collar and appreciate the American Icon of Jeep!

The line of vehicles in front of us wouldn't allow anyone to pass anyone. Neither driver was going to get pass the line of vehicles in front of both of us.

But thank you for your thoughts on this matter.

I get that both lanes of traffic were going at approximately the same speed. If I had to guess I'd say the horn honking and light flashing was because those asshats in the left lane wanted everyone in front of them (including you) to get into the right lane so they could speed up... Just a guess, though.
