My wife loves our Renegade. She likes to ride in our Wrangler but is hesitant to drive it. In all honesty, the Renegade is much smoother from the driver's seat. The Wrangler is a little bit of a beast, but I like it.

We both prefer my F-150, it is just so much more comfortable and has sublime ride quality.

I strongly prefer my Jeep for its offroad ability and maneuverability around town. But if we are just going to a FSR, hiking, or whatever, we take the F-150.

She will agree with me on maneuverability, but we can all agree, a Wrangler isn't very comfortable.

we are middle aged ;) ie 66 and 63....We have had many many vehicles in fact I am embarrassed to say how many as I rarely keep a vehicle longer than 2 years maybe 3 at the most....I was heavy into jeeps for years and then in 2020 decided to trade my 2018 jkur recon edition for a new Power Wagon. fast forward to last year my wife said she missed doing the tougher more challenging trails than we were doing in the power wagon....So she is the boss and we bought the 2024 jlur....took it straight away to moab which is her favorite wheeling place.

We just got back from a 2300 mile trip from Montana down hyw 101 starting in Washington and going down to the redwoods.....past Humbolt... here is the kicker....my wife has a 2023 CX5 Trubo which is a super comfortable traveling car...Mazda knows how to do interiors...super nice leather and cooled seats make long mile roadtrips fly by. So we are getting ready to go and out of the blue she said we should take the jeep....I was like really there are going to be some 700 mile days in the vehicle....she looked straight at me and said do you want to look like a couple of retirees on a vacation or do you want to look like a couple on an adventure........unpacked the CX5 and loaded up the Jeep......ultimately it cost only about $200 more in fuel to take the jeep to be adventurers vs vacationers.....Secret to a happy marriage is to pick a good wife....

My wife hated my YJ. She only rode in it once in my 5 years of ownership.

When it came time to fill the Jeep hole in my heart after the YJ was gone for a while, she helped me pick out the JLU, which I wanted her to do so she has some ownership in it.

She has driven it once in the year I have owned it, and really has no desire to. She likes it, but doesn't like driving it, claiming like others on here its too rough and noisy. Plus, the first time she drove it she slammed her knee in the door getting out, forgetting it wasn't her minivan with wide opening doors.

She doesn't mind riding in it, but would rather run around in our minivan or F150.

She says it's my Jeep and, since I am very picky about my cars, isn't interested in driving it. I've told her that she really can't hurt it, but she isn't interested in driving it. She will drive it only if she has too, which will be rare.

My wife loves the Jeep…… she deals with people all day, 5 days a week, so she loves getting away on the weekends… most of the time just us….We usually will meet other jeeps on the trail, but she doesn’t mind because it’s 99 percent Jeep talk… not whining and complaining over stupid shit….

She doesn’t care what I do to it, but she does tell me what we should and shouldn’t do aesthetically, which I don’t mind, that’s easy….

She’s a “ride or die” and I’m lucky to have her… 37 years now, 🙂

Same, 21 years now and she loves the off roading and camping as much as I do.

Shes not impressed with the height of the Jeep now but loves the new ride.

And you definitely picked a good one.

Your story is very similar to mine, including picking a good wife, and the Power Wagon somewhere along the way.

Imagine being married to your best buddy, and you both enjoy Jeeps, and an ideal vacation is camping and wheeling around Moab for a few weeks. That's my life.

I've had Jeeps forever, and my wife likes them pretty much the same as I do. But my wife has two vehicles that are considered "hers". A 2019 Dodge Challenger and a 2023 JT Mojave. She chose the Challenger because a Challenger had been her dream car since she was 14. I bought it for her for a wedding anniversary present. She chose the JT Mojave with a Mopar lift and 35s when we were looking for a vehicle for her to drive on snowy days in the winter. We test drove half a dozen SUVs and midsize pickup trucks, and she chose the JT Mojave. She can drive either of her vehicles whenever she wants. The JT Mojave is 2 years old and has 26,000 miles on it. The Challenger is 6 years old and has 11,000 miles on it.
