Disable Triple Honk

Interesting. I jump out nearly everyday to check the mail. Jeep running; fob in pocket. Not a peep.

I’ve done it both ways. Not a peep. My horn only sounds under two circumstances: when I use the fob to lock the Jeep, and when I actually push the horn button on the steering wheel.

I just ordered a Tazer Mini for my 24 JLU Rubi. Hopefully they'll have them 100% with their updates soon. Sounds like they cover the vast majority of functions for the 24's now.

Are you fully closing the door or leaving it open? With the door is open or not fully closed or the FOB remains in it with the engine running you probably won't get the PITA three honk thing.

Half the time I leave open, half the time I shut it when I stop for mail. Like I said, it beeps only when locking with the fob or when I actually push the horn on the steering wheel. If mine did what you folks have said, I’d be ready for the rubber room.

You've got an older rig from before they added that "feature".

It's not a real big deal but it does get fricken annoying and my neighbors or people driving by think I'm honking at them so we get the "WHAT!" look from anyone that's close by. I get that little Tazer Mini thing hooked up and there's a bunch of shit that'll be getting turned off.

Note that it doesn't disable it when using the tailgate, at least on mine it doesn't.

That is supposedly fixed in the new firmware if they ever release it from being beta.

The Tazer does disable the triple honk on the 2024. However the auto park disable does not work.

I have this happen almost everyday when I get home from work around 1:30 AM. When I get out to open the garage I have to leave the Jeep door open. If I close it, 3 beeps. Only a problem when it’s raining, snowing or blowing and I close the door. Don’t want to wake family up from that annoying honking.

I see in this thread people are giving multiple scenarios for when the honking occurs. Only accurate one I know is engine running, doors closed, fob leaving the area of the vehicle.
