So has anyone figured out how to disable the ignition or accessory chime that goes off constantly when the drivers door is open and it’s in either ACC or RUN?

I get I can run down my battery but I do actually like to open the doors and listen to the radio when I’m working on or cleaning the JL and the engine isn’t on.

Back when it had an actual key you could put it in run but with push to start this no longer works.

Have you tried unplugging the door on the occasions that you want it open with the radio on? Might work.

I copied this from a previous post, so I hope it helps. . .
Get in and put the seat belt on. Turn the Jeep on, but don't start it (acc mode), the diagnostic screen will briefly show the seatbelt warning indicator. As soon the the indicator goes away, quickly disconnect then reconnect the seatbelt 3x. Turn off the Jeep. You'll still get warnings on the dash, but this will disable the chime. To re-enable, repeat the process.

YMMV. . . good luck and be safe!

I’m thinking this might disable auto park as well
I have a seat belt clip in the mail on the way to me. Cost me $1.49 .

I will tell you / post here in a couple of days if it disables auto park.

I use these, or a similar style but obviously same concept... and auto park isn't an issue for me.

@TahoeJeep

I was already aware of, the way you are temporarily disabling the chime..

I have done this when working on someone else's vehicle. I can see say a tech in the dealership or local shop doing this simple approach to stopping the chime.

For an owner though.. the guy/gal that owns the JL.... my feeling is just disable the chime altogether.

This disabling which is easily reversible, can be done simply with a programmer or a enable/disable sequence.

Disable the chime ..... and be done with it forever more so to speak.

Isn’t that just like plugging the seatbelt in behind you?

@Myjeep

YES, it is exactly the same.

Except with the seat belt clip, you are not sitting on a friggin buckle.

Also when you drive off, you don't have to get the belt from behind you, you just pop out the seat belt clip and fasten your seat belt.
