Good luck trying to get an answer. I’ve called and emailed everyone. The company must be entirely B2B, because I just can’t get customer service. I assume they are like most others with two plugs. The bottom one is for standard pinion angles and the top is for more extreme angles.
So if you have a standard pinion angle and you fill it to the upper hole is there any issues or disadvantages to doing this do you know?

Looks Good.
Do these covers hold more oil than the original factory covers?
Havn't been able to find an answer to that.
I compared the oem and this Advantec before I installed it, and didn’t see anything jump out at me…… I assumed that since it’s Dana Spicer, it can’t be that different anyway…..they’ve been on for a few years now, I would have heard from the diff by now if it was drowning or parched…..lol… I even re-geared it and everything is good……

Wondering if anyone has experience with these?

I run these front and rear on my JTR. Very nice covers, may hold more gear oil, those magnets are super strong.

I think filling to the top would add too much oil if you are a standard angle. In all honesty, though, that’s just an educated guess because I’ve been unable to confirm.

edit: if you fill it with too much oil it can affect how the oils moves around the ring. I've always heard overfilling a little can be worse than under filling a little, but I have no basis for knowing if that's true. I just try and follow the manufacturer's directions as I assume they know more than I do about their stuff. ?

They seem to feature what looks like pretty stout longitudinal support, which could aid in housing flex?......
But I could be full of crap ?

I get why you'd want a drain plug on the front differential cover, because there is no drain plug on the front differential of my EcoDiesel, you need to remove the whole cover. But on the rear m220, every trim and engine with that axle has a drain plug on the differential housing. So why you would need one on the cover, just seems redundant.. ?

Differiential covers do more than contain oil. They also contribute to proper lubrication.

Watch this first
The most important job of the heavy diff cover is to strengthen and support the diff housing center section to prevent flex.
The rear diff housing has its own drain plug the front does not, you have to crack the cover to drain the oil.

The rear M220 on my '22 Willys does not have a drain plug. ?

What's up with the two plug setup?

The lower ones not low enough to use as a drain plug, so why have two?
The lower plug the oil level if your Jeep is at factory level. The upper plug would be the oil level you require if you have a tall lift and the pinion is tipped up to reduce pinion angle.

My 2022 rear M220 has a drain plug driver side, the front M210 does not.
Curious what build month yours is?
I think I've heard they started not having the plugs sometime in '22. Mine was built in June.

Do any of you have the bottom ridge on the rear diff like on my 2024? It looks like that ridge could easily get caught up on a rock versus sliding over it.
