I pour mine right on the flap where I would push the nozzle in, haven't had it pool anywhere outside. It’ll just seep into the tank then? I don’t need to worry about it pooling up and spilling everywhere?

You have to move it around a little and try to get it in. It is tight fit but it will open the flap I just did mine.Resurrecting an old thread here. I just found my factory funnel and tried it out, but it wouldn’t open the flap and go into the tank.
Any suggestions?
Diesel Kleen every other tank. Habit I brought over from my RAM 3500 Cummins days. What are some of the diesel fuel additives people using? Do new eco diesels need the additives?
I’ve used DC in my F-350 but not in the 3.0, does it have lubricating qualities similar to what EDT has?Power Service "Diesel Kleen". I've used about every major, and some minor, brands of diesel injector cleaners, and cetane boosters out there, on two of the diesel trucks I've had, one I still have. PS Diesel Kleen actually cleaned the injectors, smoothed out the idle, stopped knocking (clattering) under acceleration, improved power, and slightly improved mpg. All that can be attributed to cleaner injectors, and an increase in cetane numbers.
I've used Power Service diesel additive since the 70's in all my diesel trucks and farm equipment. Good stuff. A couple times a year I run a bottle of HotShot through my F350 dually Powerstroke.
So, tell me about the Hotshot products. Has it cured any issues, or are you using it as a preventative?I use Hotshots EDT every fill up
I know you were responding to someone else but I did notice a difference when I started using it in our 6.0 PS. The truck belonged to my wife’s dad first then her late husband after that. Now it’s fallen to me to maintain it since it’s special to her. It was running a bit rough after storage and I didn’t know the maintenance history behind it. Ran a couple tanks of the HS extreme through it and it cleared up the idle completely. Did an oil change, added the Archoil stiction eliminator as well. Now I run the EDT every tank on that truck and the JL.So, tell me about the Hotshot products. Has it cured any issues, or are you using it as a preventative?
Thank you. I might give it a "Shot", on my 06 Dodge 5.9 Cummins.I know you were responding to someone else but I did notice a difference when I started using it in our 6.0 PS. I never had any issues, I’m just trying to prevent the fuel pump from going outSo, tell me about the Hotshot products. Has it cured any issues, or are you using it as a preventative?
A good friend of mine with a lot of diesel knowledge recommended Amsoil to me a while back. I like their all-in-one product. It combines their cetane booster, injector cleaner, and winterizer all in one. So instead of having to switch up which type your buying depending on the season, it's just one bottle every time.In your jack compartment there is a small funnel in a plastic baggie. Its designed to use the big pumps like truck stops have, AFAIK, but I use it for this use case as well. Actually just put some diesel kleen in yesterday.
Love amsoil's products, specifically their severe gear gear oil, but honestly I have switched to HSS' EDT and their diesel extreme every 6k. The container makes dosing much easier and it only requires 1 oz per tank vs the excessive amount of diesel kleen. Still have a bunch of DK in the garage.A good friend of mine with a lot of diesel knowledge recommended Amsoil to me a while back. I like their all-in-one product. As an added bonus the size of the bottle neck, though it won't insert into the fill tube, if you press it into that metal piece at the top of the filler tube, it will effectively drain into the tank without needing to insert the funnel. Just one less thing you have to clean after a fill up.

Premium membership is like $20 I believe, and you get 20% off all orders and any orders over $100 get free shipping. So I find if I order two six packs like this picture above and a fuel additive for my wife's gas vehicle, it'll put me right in the $103 range and I get free shipping and about 5-6 months of fuel additives.

As an added bonus every time you order one of those six packs, they ship you an Amsoil sticker! I put this one over my fuel tank, and I forgot what I did with the other one I have.
Honestly in the end I feel like all the fuel additives do the same stuff, so really as long as you're adding something you're probably pretty good. It's just a preference as to what you feel comfortable with and I just like the Amsoil brand and I feel they make a quality product. But really I've heard good stuff about the Kleen brand as well as the Hot Shots EDT is popular with the semi guys I know.
As long as you're taking care of your engine that's all that matters.!
