Dealer Installed A/C

Installing A/C in a vehicle that was not originally setup for it is a big undertaking especially in newer vehicles. 10 days is not out of the norm. Be patient.

SOOOOOOOO, today is Friday and another week has passed, did the manage to maybe get the hood lifted up to see what they where faced with or possibly the lack of updates means you have it back and can finally enjoy it?

They just got it on the truck. They fired the only guy who could drive stick last month, and nobody knew what the far left pedal does.
Just kidding, I went into the sales manager's office looking for an update because nobody from the dealership OR Jeep Cares has contacted me besides the forum user JeepCares. He immediately apologized and told me that he completely understands my frustration and wouldn't blame me if I burn all of them in a survey.
Supposedly the Wrangler is still at the AC shop because they're having trouble with unsteady voltage and they're afraid to call it 'done' until everything is working properly. The shop has worked on a lot of JKs but this is the first JL the shop has done. So much for "it's a one week job, it's a trusted shop and they do it all the time".
The assistant manager promised me that he's going to call as soon as it's ready because his department is paying for my rental. He actually had my license plates leaning against his monitor, so I guess they're thinking about me.

I would bet the voltage issue is due to one or all of these issues,;
1) they probably havent run the vehicle and all the opening and closing has caused the battery to get low,
2) the ECU probably has no idea what is going on, I'm going to assume it needs to be flashed so it knows it has a/c to control the idle.
slim, very slim possibility, the battery and or alternator dont have the spare voltage to run the a/c although I only see two alternators in online parts lookup ( I was going to get the higher amp one for mine)

Man I hate to say it. But I wouldn't want that JEEP Back. I think I'd just chalk this up as somewhat of a loss and just trade it back in right away for something with factory air.

Blah Blah Blah. Just nut up, and demand they either give you your Jeep back, fix it, within the week, or exchange it for another Jeep. Have you even looked at it????? Enough is enough. Next time just pay for the factory A/C, lesson learned.
If you haven't even seen your Jeep, since you dropped it off, then all this BS is on you. Sorry, its about time you take control, and stop being passive.

While I sort of agree, there is no way I would go a month without demanding to see my rig. There is also no way any of this bs would slide. They would have a new rig for me or my attorney would get involved stat.

I know my dealer here in Orlando sells no A/C jeeps. I didn’t even know it was an option until I saw my window sticker for the 1300. He said it’s popular with the people that live on the beach as they pretty much just take the doors off and top off all the time.

kinda sad how long this is taking. but i have to say i have the smaller alternator with zero issues with my factory a/c voltages varying. id ask for where they are testing the voltages and post them here. i have no problem testing my jeep at the same point to get you some better answers. or better yet ask the dealer to check the numbers of a jeep off there lot and cross reference them to your jeep at the shop. i would also be asking for the address to where my jeep is and pop in and ask them whats really going on cause you know that from one person to the next to the next things get twisted as needed... i really hope they get this resolved. I mean that or tell them your gonna start wheeling the junk out of the rental and your not liable for any damages as they refuse to get your jeep finished and returned to you. BEST WISHES!!!!
