Yes those are weld on skids for the front axle bracket. I had them on my JK. I am currently running the Hard Rock skids for the front and rear axle. Heavy duty and bolts on to existing brackets.

Yes, I also have the Rock Hard front and rear LCA skids, plus Rusty's rear frame side LCA skids. What I can't find is a front frame side LCA skid.

Has anyone found a front frame side lower control arm skid yet?

I have hit my driver’s side pretty good a few times and would like to protect it before it gets worse.

Funny enough, I have yet to even scrape the front axle side LCA mounts and have barely kissed (once) the rear frame side LCA mounts and that seems to be where most others make contact. Rear axle side and shock mounts are another story, but everyone makes those skids.

You can see the initial dent in this pic at Hidden Falls, but I made it worse in Rubicon Ridge, and my girlfriend helped to add to it on the steps at Marblehead.?

I have Metalcloak weld-on front LCA and Artec bolt on rear LCA skids.
If you’re going to be playing in the big rocks, I highly recommend LCA skids. Both front and rear skids have taken some hits and I was glad to have the protection versus suffering mount damage. The rear Artec skids are very beefy and well made. I highly recommend them.
I had a local shop weld the fronts on for $30 total.

My bad, I misread what the OP was looking for.

In that case, I've never experienced or seen a need for frame side CA skids. The proper rock sliders usually will catch on the rock and keep the frame CA mounts from being damaged.

Not the case for me. Sliders are higher up than the CA mounts on the frame side. They’re all bent and scratched up. The frame side mounts, not sliders I mean.

You wouldn't happen to recall what size bolts you got for the rear LCA skids would you? I'm probably going to have to order something, local stores have bad selection on hand.

They use the existing shock and LCA bolt, so no need to source any new bolts.

That’s what @Artec told me via email too so I put them on. I’m not 100% comfortable with the amount of thread past the bolt though. This is the LCA to axle, the shock bolt looks the same way
