It's non random because their sample is firstly from CR subscribers and secondly from people who choose to respond. After that it does not matter - their sample is not representative of the population. Their data is biased and should not be used to infer anything about the population. The only way to sample is randomly.I agree it’s not random because the survey is provided to subscribers. That said, help me understand why this methodology uniquely biased against the Jeep Wrangler….as it relates to reliability (not driving performance). Candidly I have found their reliability ratings to be pretty close to my personal experiences with all cars I have owned. It’s CR’s road tests that I believe are incredibly biased.
As other people point out, I scratch my head when shared platforms built in the same factory get profoundly different reliability ratings.
