I avoid Denver....way to many people and the traffic is horrible! Get away from Denver to see Colorado. Dillon, Silverthorn, Frisco area is nice. About an hour West of Denver on I70.

Go to Boulder. Beautiful valley, hiking trails 10 minutes west of Broadway. Or go to Estes Park and into Rocky Mountain National Park. There are few things similar to that road above the tree line.

And as mentioned above--go an hour west on I-70 to get into the Rockies proper.

Olive and Finch for breakfast. The skillet hash man..There’s a lot of amazing Coffee shops and the entire Cheesman park neighborhood has tons of character and cool homes. Also the Denver Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Also check out the big blue bear downtown at v the convention center I think. That’s worth the photo op.

Cherry Cricket for a burger, Museum of Nature & Science, Red Rocks, Wings over the Rockies. Boulder has some interesting shops. Downtown is pretty meh. Casa Bonita is fun if it ever reopened, the food is absolutely horrible though.

Outdoorsy stuff, just head west into the mountains.

second on Estes Park and Trail Ridge Road. That side of the park is crowded, but if you cross the divide and go on over to Gran Lakes it is considerably less populated. You may not mind, but crowds at parks drive me batty...so I always look for less populated, abandoned, forgotten spots if i am able to resource folks with awareness of those places.

Third on Estes Park and RMNP. Go up Fall River road up to the observation lodge for some great scenery and then continue down the other side to Grand Lake, Granby, and Winter Park.

Fun in like a, "I didn't know I could pay so much to throw up" kind of way?

Other end in my experience. I just looked at the website and it says they are doing tours and that "Dining will return soon". Pretty sure that's a threat.

I'd say nobody goes there for the food, but there's probably some weirdo that enjoys it.

It's worth dropping a bit of coin for the experience every now and then. And a bit more coin to have something edible other than sopapillas afterward.

Edit: In very timely news, Trey Parker and Matt Stone want to buy it and fix it up now. Hopefully they can figure something out.
