When you said "DIY" I thought that meant the seats in the bed, not the ENTIRE popup camper. That's awesome!

Hi everyone, I am brand new to the jeep community. I recently went to an overlanding expo and caught the bug! I am slowly building out my wrangler JL 4door and wanted to share my progress. I’m also interested in hearing ideas and suggestions. After hearing mixed reviews on roof top tents I decided to camp inside my jeep. I took the rear seat out and installed a rear seat delete / bed platform made by Springtail Solutions. I cut up a foam work out mat for insulation and then added memory foam. Very comfortable!

Jwoo- How has the Springtail seat delete platform held up? Can you enter from the side doors putting one's weight on it? Can you sleep with your head by the tailgate and your feet towards the seats? Thank you, Ben

It’s held up very well, no complaints. I have done 2 month long road trips w it as well as shorter weekender trips. Very sturdy, I always enter from the side as I have a shelf on the tailgate side of the jeep. You could sleep w your feet towards the seats but I don’t because I’d probably bump my head on the shelf when I woke up. For reference I’m 6’ tall and 190 pounds.
