Placebo?? lol, It's very simple to understand. When you shift the rpms rise anywhere from 1 to 2 thousand rpms in between shifts NOW the rev's drop as I shift instead of rising! How is that placebo?? This happened after I had the recall done.
Because the recall absolutely does not affect rev hang. I still have it just like it was before the flash. Rev hang does not increase the RPM between shifts, it holds it, which is why it’s called rev hang not rev increase.

I guess we are all imagining it then! How do you know it doesn't affect the rev hang?

Because that’s not why or what the software was written for.
That doesn't mean they can't include other changes in the update.

Get the recall done. I had the recall done and it does NOT detune the engine but does make the rev hang a lot less noticeable. I stated this in another thread that in my opinion when the rpm's rise when shifting (rev hang) I'm sure it overheats the clutch. My 2022 barely has any rev hang.
The Recall will ONLY Detune the engine when an Over Heat Condition occurs.

I think you'll be good.
The recall is supposed to prevent overheating the clutch...I don't think it would have prevented your issue.
The recall is about pressure plate fracturing. Looks like that is exactly what happened here.

Guys what years

What year JL's are being recalled? I looked up 2022 recalls and didn't see anything
I would check it again. Ours is on there. I want to say it's all JLU's.

The Recall will ONLY Detune the engine when an Over Heat Condition occurs.
It's all BS. There is no temp sensor for the clutch or bellhousing area. It's some algorithm that compares RPM to wheel speed over time.
